About Puffles
Pet Shop Explanation:
Puffles are small, round, furry creatures native to the wilds of Club Penguin. They make excellent pets due to their friendliness, playfulness, and loyalty.
Everyone in Club Penguin can adopt up to two puffles, and members have the privelege of adopting up to fourteen. Seven kinds of puffles have been discovered, each with a different personality. Read this guide to learn more about each puffle and how to care for them.
Puffles are furballs that live in penguin's igloos. These creatures were discovered in October of 2005 and have been bouncing all around Club Penguin Island ever since. They love to play, eat, go on walks, and much more. But don't bite off more than you can chew- they're a big responsibility.

I Have a Puffle, What Do I Do Now?
Pet Shop Answers:
First, you can give your puffle a name. It will be waiting for you in your igloo. Press the house button on the bottom right side of your chat bar to go there.
Click on your puffle to view it's player card. It will show you how happy your puffle is.
Now that you have purchased your puffle, you can buy accessories, feed your puffle various foods, give it baths, play games with your puffle, let your puffle play with it's toys, rest your puffle, and walk your puffle. Here is how different actions affect your puffle:

The Puffle Player Card
See the photos of the player card above to see how it works.
Click your puffle to show the puffle player card. From here you can access your puffles stats(health, energy, and rest), walk your puffle, bathe your puffle, feed your puffle puffle-Os(standard puffle food), cookies, and gum, and see your puffles name. Open another puffle's player card and you can see the stats only. Other puffle names are protected for security.
Puffle Walking
Pet Shop Explains:
To take your puffle for a walk, press the leash button and it will join you wherever you go. Puffles can only be walked one at a time. Leashes are hand items, so you won't be able to wear other hand items while you are out walking your puffle.
Make sure your puffle is well fed and rested before you take it for a walk. Puffles do not like walking on an empty stomach, or when they're sleepy.
When you are finished walking your puffle click it on your player card and it will return to your igloo. If you leave Club Penguin while walking your puffle, it will go back to your igloo.
To walk your puffle, simply click the puffle player card, click the leash, and start walking. Your puffle can be added and removed like any other hand items. Some puffles play games with you corresponding to their personalities.

What Happens When I'm Gone?
Pet Shop Recommendation:
When you leave your igloo, your puffles will get tired, hungry and want attention. To keep your puffles happy, it's best to check on them regularly.
When you leave Club Penguin, your puffle will go into 'pause' mode. In pause mode, your puffle will stay exactly how you left it until you return. Your puffle will not get tired or hungry, or run away.
As long as you do not log on to Club Penguin your puffle is in pause mode. It will not lose or gain any energy, sleep, or health when you are not logged on. The more often you are logged on, the more often your puffle must be cared for. It is good to regularly check on your puffle. It is a good practice to keep at least enough coins to feed your puffle(s).
My Puffle is Gone! What Happened?
Pet Shop Explains:
If you stop taking care of your puffles, they will eventually get bored and run away. Puffles that run away cannot be recovered, so you'll have to adopt a new one instead.
If you have been taking care of your puffle, but it runs away, it may be because someone else has been using your account and not taking care of them. Make sure to never share your account, and to change your password if you notice anything strange.
Your puffle has run away! If you fail to feed and otherwise nurture a puffle, it will run away permanently. You can still buy new ones, though.

The sections that are not filled in yet (what happened to my puffle? etc) are to be copied from the Adopt a Pet catalog that is on this page. Thanks :) -- SpinMarty 15:32, 17 June 2008 (PDT)
I've never been a huge fan of relying solely on information copied straight from the game. While I do believe that game provided information is important to document, I feel that additional information that can be provided by our editors is important as well. Perhaps putting both the in game and additional information together in these sections and italicizing and formatting the official information differently to distinguish between the two would be a good compromise.
For example, something to the effect of:
When you leave your igloo, your puffles will get tired, hungry and want attention. To keep your puffles happy, it's best to check on them regularly.
When you leave Club Penguin, your puffle will go into 'pause' mode. In pause mode, your puffle will stay exactly how you left it until you return. Your puffle will not get tired or hungry, or run away.
As long as you do not log on to Club Penguin your puffle is in pause mode. It will not lose or gain any energy, sleep, or health when you are not logged on. The more often you are logged on, the more often your puffle must be cared for.
(perhaps with less redundant editor supplied information and more tips/suggestions) --UpInTheAir 15:50, 17 June 2008 (PDT)
I think that I did a pretty good job with explaining those sections. But if you still think it is necessary to use the catalog information, then you can do that.--Gobob789 15:50, 17 June 2008 (PDT)
I think it might be a good idea just to document the official in-game information. --UpInTheAir 16:32, 17 June 2008 (PDT)
Please copy the info from the catalog as Up suggested (in italics) and then you are more than welcome to provide more game tips and information. One of the goals of our wiki is to preserve game information in addition to providing more indepth explanations when and where we can. Thanks -- SpinMarty 20:46, 17 June 2008 (PDT) I'm on it.--Gobob789 11:32, 18 June 2008 (PDT)
Thanks for starting to add these, Gobob. I like the "Petshop recommendation". Good way to differentiate the official information and editor provided information. I also think using putting
before and
after the official information helps it to stand out even more by indenting the text a bit on all sides. If you don't mind adding these codes to the official information you are editing in, that would be great. Thanks.--UpInTheAir 11:56, 18 June 2008 (PDT)
