Illuminating the Wilderness with Dessa (Quest)

Back to the Pixie Hollow Quests for Members page Illuminating the Wilderness is a quest you can get from Iridessa. Upon completion, you will receive a Baking Hat Carnation White. Prerequisites: Learn to Illuminate must be completed and you must be a light-talent fairy. Released: 29 June 2009 Retired: 20 April 2011

Quick Quest Guide

This Quest has 2 steps.

What you will need: 10 Acorns, 10 Snowflakes and 3 Honeycombs (to personal bake one batch of Acorn Cookies).

Quick Steps

• Go to Iridessa's Glade and ask her if she has any quests. Pick Illuminating the Wilderness.
• Go to Dulcie's Kitchen in Neverberry Thicket and personal bake a batch of Acorn Cookies.
• Go to the Bubbly Bog in Dewdrop Vale and start a new adventure called Illuminating the Wilderness. Complete all the challenges within the adventure and return to Dessa.
• Pick your reward and the quest is over.

In Depth Quest Guide

This is a full walk through for the quest, so if you're confused by any of the quick steps, hopefully these can help you out.

Head over to Iridessa's Glade in Sunflower Gully and ask Iridessa if she has any quests. The quest should pop up immediately and you'll be able to begin. Upon starting the quest, Iridessa will greet you:

Iridessa: "Sunshine! Great to see you! Say, do you have a minute? We need to talk."
"You’ve probably noticed that using your Talent Skills in the Wilderness takes a lot of pixie dust. And that if you run short, eating a cookie will give you a few extra smidges."
"So knowing how to bake cookies is really really important. I want to be sure you know how to do it."
"Fly over to Dulcie’s Kitchen and bake a batch of pixie-dust-filled Acorn Cookies, okay? Bring them back here so I can see how you did."

Step 1

Iridessa: "Shimmerific! Now make sure you do your best at each baking step. The better you do, the more cookies you’ll get!"
"Be sure to try for a full half dozen!"
"Go on, sunshine! Dulcie’s Kitchen is in Neverberry Thicket!"

Fly to Dulcie's Kitchen in Neverberry Thicket. Use Personal Baking to make a batch of Acorn Cookies. Return to Iridessa's Glade in Sunflower Gully when you are done!

Story So Far

Iridessa wants to make sure you know how to bake pixie-dust-filled cookies to eat in the Wilderness. Fly to Dulcie’s Kitchen in Neverberry Thicket and make a batch of Acorn Cookies!

Go to Dulcie's Kitchen in Neverberry Thicket. Make one batch of Acorn Cookies ~ be sure to choose Personal Baking. Return to Dessa when you are done.

Step 2

Iridessa: "Those look pretty good, sunshine. *SNIFF SNIFF* Oh, and they smell good, too. You know, I think I’d better taste one, just to make sure there’s enough pixie dust in there. Right? Right."
"*MUNCH MUNCH* This is soooo good! *MUNCH SWALLOW*"
"That is ... what I meant was ... the pixie dust level was exactly perfect! Uh, you definitely know how to bake! Hee hee."
"So can I ask you a favor? I’ve heard Fairies say there are glowing Truffles in the darkest parts of the Wilderness, but I’ve never found one. And I’d LOVE to study a GLOWING truffle!"
"Would you help me find one? Maybe you’ll have better luck than I did. Try using your Illuminate skill out in the Bubble Bog."

Fly to Dewdrop Vale and enter the Bubbly Bog Wilderness. Use your Illuminate skill to find a Glowing Truffle. Return to Iridessa's Glade in Sunflower Gully when you are done!

Story So Far

Now that you’ve baked cookies, Iridessa wants you to fly to the Bubbly Bog and use your Illuminate Talent Skill to find a Glowing Truffle.

Leave Iridessa's Glade and fly to the Bubbly Bog in [[Dewdrop Vale]. Start a new quest and select Illuminating the Wilderness. Complete all the challenges and bring the Glowing Truffle to Dessa. Be sure to have enough cookies made prior to entering the Wilderness.

Iridessa: "Oh, would you look at that! I can’t wait to study it! Who knows what incredible light powers it may have?"
"Thanks, sunshine. Did you eat any of your cookies while you were out in the Wilderness?"
"Well, here! I have a special thank you gift to encourage you to bake even more!"
"Thank you, Fairyname here! Keep on practicing your Illuminate Talent Skill, okay? And come back here if you want my help. Hope I see you again soon!"

Your Reward

You'll receive a Baking Hat Carnation White as shown below. You also unlock the following quest upon completion: More Illuminate in the Wilderness.
