Tinker Tests (Quest)

Quick Quest Guide
This Quest has 6 steps.What you will need: 10 Bits of Metal, as well as enough baked goods to renew your Pixie Dust when you enter the wilderness, 10 Spider Silk (to purchase one bottle of Grape Purple Dye), 50 Spider Silk (to purchase one Sea Green Tinkering Glass), and 20 Pine Needles.
Quick Steps
- Go to Tinker's Nook and ask Tink if she has any quests. Pick Tinker Tests.
- Earn a score of 15,000 points playing Tinker Toss, then fly back to Tinker Bell.
- Enter The Silver Trees in Pumpkin Patch and gather 10 Bits of Metal, then bring them to Tinker Bell.
- Earn a score of 20,000 points playing Water Web, then return to Tinker Bell.
- Fly over to Daisy's Dyes in Cherryblossom Heights and purchase a bottle of Grape Purple Dye and give it to Tinker Bell.
- Go to Treetop Housewares in Treetop Bend to purchase one Sea Green Tinkering Glass and give this item to Tinker Bell.
- Gather 20 Pine Needles, and flit back to Tinker Bell.
- Pick your reward and the quest is over.
In Depth Quest Guide
This is a full walk through for the quest, so if you're confused by any of the quick steps, hopefully these can help you out.
Head over to Tinker's Nook in Cottonpuff Field and ask Tinker Bell if she has any quests. If you have finished the quest Light Tests, the quest should pop up immediately and you'll be able to begin. Upon starting the quest, Tink will greet you:
Tinker Bell: "Hey, Pixie Name Here, whatcha got there? Looks like a green star-shaped gem-looking... thingy."
"Oh, Iridessa discovered it? She calls it a "green star"? And she says it might have a hidden tinker power?"
"Well, if Dessa thinks that, then let's find out if she's right! Will you help me?"
Step 1
Accept this Quest?Accept the quest and Tinker Bell is thrilled and gives you the first step.
Tinker Bell: "Flitterific! Now, err... I guess we should run some tests, huh? That's what Dessa would do, right?"
"Here's an idea! We'll compare this green star to the Green Gems in the Sorting Station. Maybe they're related. Let's play Tinker Toss!"
Fly to Cottonpuff Field. Earn 15,000 points playing Tinker Toss. Return to Tinker's Nook in Cottonpuff Field when you are done!

It’s talent game time! Play Tinker Toss until you reach a score of at least 15,000 points (whether in one shot or cumulative), then return to Tinker Bell.

"When I put a Green Gem next to the green star, the star began to WHISTLE!"
"That makes no sense. Maybe metal will get a better response. Go get Bits of Metal from The Silver Trees!"
Enter The Silver Trees Wilderness and gather 10 Bits of Metal. Return to Tinker's Nook in Cottonpuff Field when you are done!

You're helping Tinker Bell investigate the green star. Gather Bits of Metal in The Silver Trees!
An ingredient collecting task! Leave Tinker's Nook and fly to The Silver Trees located in Pumpkin Patch. You are searching for Bits of Metal in the wilderness, if you don't have 10 already. Once you get the required 10 Bits of Metal, bring them to Tink. Be sure to have enough baked goods made prior to entering the Wilderness!
Step 3
I have Bits of Metal for Tinker Bell!Tinker Bell: "Tinker-tastic! I'll go poke the green star with the Bits of Metal and see what happens!"
"Just a little..."
"It went POING. Seriously, the green star made a POING sound. What can a tinker do with a POING?"
"Let's do another test with... umm... water? Yeah, we'll get the green star wet and see what it does! Go get dewdrops by playing Water Web!"
Fly to Neverberry Thicket. Earn 20,000 points playing Water Web. Return to Tinker's Nook in Cottonpuff Field when you are done!

More talent game practice! You are off to play Water Web until you reach a score of at least 20,000 points (whether in one shot or cumulative), then return to Tinker Bell.
Step 4
I played Water Web with Silvermist!Tinker Bell: "Good, you got a whole bucket load of dewdrops. Let's dunk the green star in there!"
"Well, swing my hammer!"
"The green star makes BUBBLES! Wow, maybe it has Bubble-icious Bubble Bath Powers!"
"No, that's just silly. I guess we need to do another test. I know - go get a bottle of Grape Purple Dye from Daisy's Dyes!"
Fly to Daisy's Dyes in Cherryblossom Heights and get 1 bottle of Grape Purple Dye. Bring it to Tinker's Nook in Cottonpuff Field and give it to Tinker Bell when you are done!

You're helping Tinker Bell investigate the green star. Get one bottle of Grape Purple Dye from Daisy's Dyes!
Let's go shopping! Fly over to Cherryblossom Heights and enter Daisy's Dyes. Buy one bottle of Grape Purple Dye, which costs 10 Spider Silk. Once you have the dye, fly back to Tink to give it to her.
Step 5
I have Grape Purple Dye for Tinker Bell!Tinker Bell: "Thanks! See, my idea is to dye the green star purple. It's gotta do something if we make it another color, right?"
"AAARG! The dye won't stick to the star! It just drips off!"
"Grr! Maybe I need to examine the star closer. Go get me a Tinkering Glass from Treetop Housewares, would you?"
Fly to Treetop Housewares in Treetop Bend and get a Tinkering Glass. Bring it to Tinker's Nook in Cottonpuff Field and give it to Tinker Bell when you are done!

Fly to Treetop Bend and enter Treetop Housewares. Purchase a Tinkering Glass, which will cost you 50 Spider Silk, and then give the item to Tink.
Step 6
I have a Tinkering Glass for Tinker Bell!Tinker Bell: "Thanks, Pixie Name Here. Now I can study the green star up close!"
"No cracks... no chips... not even a smudge. This star is perfect, except all it does is go POING and whistle! GRR!!!"
"Oops. I kinda got mad and... threw the star on the floor. It, um... kinda broke. Ohh, Iridessa is gonna be mad at me!"
"I need to make a broom so I can sweep up the pieces. Could you gather some Pine Needles?"
Gather 20 Pine Needles and bring them to Tinker's Nook in Cottonpuff Field.

Another ingredient collecting task! You are looking for Pine Needles if you don't have 20 already. Once you get the required 20 Pine Needles, bring them to Tinker Bell.

I have Pine Needles for Tinker Bell!Tinker Bell: "Pixie Name Here, everything in the workshop is fixed! Every single thing, all of a sudden - FIXED!"
"It was the green star! It fixed everything when it broke on the floor! Wow, we can use stars to get a wingload of work done in a flit!"
"Oh, but they're made from light specs, and those are rare, aren't they? Well, maybe I can keep one or two around for emergencies."
"Thanks for all your help. But you still need to find out what the other stars do, right? So hurry and take the blue star to Silvermist! Good luck!"
You'll receive the Tinker Star Discovery Badge, as shown below. You also earn 75 Talent Points, as well as unlock the following quest upon completion: Water Tests.
