Quick Steps

In Depth Quest Guide

This is a full walk through for the quest, so if you're confused by any of the quick steps, hopefully these can help you out.

Head over to Fawn's Hideout in Maple Tree Hill and ask Fawn if she has any quests. The quest should pop up immediately and you'll be able to begin. Upon starting the quest, Fawn will greet you:

Fawn: "Y’know what, chickadee? You’re an awfully helpful Fairy. Talented, too! I think it’s time you started learnin’ something special -- Talent Skills!" "Talent Skills let you use pixie dust to do some seriously critterific stuff. And without Talent Skills, we Fairies wouldn’t be able to change the seasons on the Mainland!"
"Every talent guild has their own special Talent Skills that they’ve passed down from Fairy to Fairy since -- well, since Fairies began, I guess! Whenever that was ..."
"Anyhoo, the first Talent Skill animal-talents learn is CHARM. We have to charm critters to help ‘em, right? We talk to ‘em about problems, calm ‘em down when they’re scared, sing lullabies to the little ones ..."
"Now I’m gonna be your teacher, but I need to put ya through a couple important tests first. That’s how animal-talents prove they’re really ready."
"So what do you say, chickadee? Ready to take the tests an’ learn Charm, your very first Talent Skill?"

Step 1

Fawn: "Flaptastic! Let’s dive into the first test!"
"Let’s head over to Knothole Pantry. I need to see how well you can organize the critter chow!"

Fly to Pumpkin Patch. Earn 8,000 points playing Harvest Hustle in Knothole Pantry. Return to Fawn's Hideout in Maple Tree Hill when you are done!
Progress: # of 8,000

Story So Far

Fawn wants to teach you your first Talent Skill! Prove you’re ready by organizing Knothole Pantry!

When you are finished talking to Fawn, fly to Knothole Pantry in Pumpkin Patch. Play Harvest Hustle until you get a score of at least 8,000 points (whether in one shot or cumulative). Once you're done, go back and see Fawn.

Step 2

Fawn: "Good job, chickadee! Your pantry-organizing skills are impressive! But how are you at gathering?"
"We animal-talents work with bugs as well as critters to help prepare each season for the Mainland. What’s the key to keepin’ bugs calm and cooperative? Anything SWEET."
"They like honey best, so start gathering Honeycombs for the bugs. Fly as fast as you can!"

Gather 12 Honeycombs and bring them to Fawn's Hideout in Maple Tree Hill Progress: # of 12

Story So Far

Fawn wants to teach you your first Talent Skill! Prove you’re ready by gathering Honeycombs as fast as you can!

So, once you're finished talking to Fawn, it's time to gather up some Honeycombs, if you don't have 12 already. Once you get the 12 Honeycombs needed, head on back to Fawn and talk to her.

Step 3

Fawn: "Jumpin’ jackrabbits, you got those Honeycombs fast! I’d say you passed the test!"
"Now, another way we animal-talents keep wild critters calm an’ peaceful is by dressing in soothing natural colors."
"Why don’t you Personal Tailor a Sweetgum Leaf Skirt in a brown -- like Bark Brown! That would be perfect for working with beavers!"

Fly to Bobbin's Tailoring Nook in Springtime Orchard. Use Personal Tailoring to make a Sweetgum Leaf Skirt with brown dye. Return to Fawn's Hideout in Maple Tree Hill when you are done! Progress: # of 1

Story So Far

Fawn wants to teach you your first Talent Skill! Prove you’re ready by Personal Tailoring a brown Sweetgum Leaf Skirt at Bobbin’s Tailoring Nook.

The first thing you need to do for this step of the quest is to see if you own a bottle of brown dye. If not, purchase one from one of the dye shops. When you have your bottle of dye, head over to Bobbin's Tailoring Nook in Springtime Orchard. Once there, pick Personal Tailoring and choose Sweetgum Leaf Skirt from the list. The pattern will be automatically open for Community Tailoring; however, you will need to have the pattern completed in order to Personal Tailor the item. When you have tailored the skirt, head on back to Fawn and speak to her.

Step 4

Fawn: "Now that’s a great piece of clothing for workin’ with beavers. It’s the perfect color, too. You passed your tailorin’ test!"
"So what’s next? Well, being an animal-talent means you’ll be groomin’ critters like rabbits an’ chipmunks an’ squirrels. You’ll need fur brushes."
"There are different kinds of brushes, but Pine Needles make a good general groomin’ brush. Go gather some Pine Needles!"

Gather 15 Pine Needles and bring them to [[Fawn's Hideout] in Maple Tree Hill. Progress: # of 15

Story So Far

Fawn wants to teach you your first Talent Skill! Prove you’re ready by gathering Pine Needles!

It's time to gather up some Pine Needles now, if you don't have 15 already. Once you get the 15 Pine Needles needed, return to Fawn and give them to her.

Step 5

Fawn: "Critterific! Now for your last test."
"I conduct the frog chorus, right? I’m tellin’ you, you haven’t heard charming, calming music ‘til you’ve heard it croaked by frogs."
"Anyhoo, I’m going to try bringing the frog chorus to the Mainland next season to calm some of the little critters there. The change of seasons can be a bit rough on ‘em."
"I think Tink has a ticky-tocky Lost Thing that will really help the frog chorus croak together perfectly when they get to the Mainland. Will you go ask her if we can use it?"

Fly to Tinker's Nook! You can get there from Cottonpuff Field.

Story So Far

Fawn wants to teach you your first Talent Skill! Prove you’re ready by asking Tink if she’ll lend you and Fawn her ticky-tocky Lost Thing.

Next, fly over to Tinker's Nook located in Cottonpuff Field and talk to Tinker Bell. Ask her for a Lost Thing.

Step 6

Tinker Bell: "Fly with you, Fairyname here! Whatcha need?"
"Oh, you and Fawn want my new Lost Thing? Yeah, it makes a ticky-tocky sound, but I have no idea what it is. If you can use it, it’s all yours!"
"Lemme go get it."
"Yup, here it is -- OOF!"
"It’s ... kinda ... WUFF ... heavy ...!"
"I just sprinkled a smidge of pixie dust on it, so now it should be easy for you to pick up and take to Fawn. I hope whatever your plan is works!"

Fly to Fawn's Hideout! You can get there from Maple Tree Hill.

Story So Far

Fawn wants to teach you your first Talent Skill! Prove you’re ready by delivering the ticky-tocky Lost Thing to her!

The final step is to fly back to Fawn's Hideout, which can be found in Maple Tree Hill.

Fawn: "So that’s what it looks like, huh? I can’t wait to see how it works with the frog chorus on the Mainland!"
"Well, that was your last test, chickadee, and you passed them all! So guess what? You’ve earned your very first Talent Skill -- CHARM! Congratulations!"
"Now that you have your first Talent Skill, you’re ready to explore the Wilderness areas of Pixie Hollow."
"Start by practicing Charm in the Silver Trees! You can get there through Pumpkin Patch."
"Oh, and remember to bring friends when you go into the Wilderness, chickadee. You’ll need to work as a team to finish the challenges you’ll find there!"

Your Reward

You will now be able to perform the Talent Skill Charm in all wilderness areas of Pixie Hollow. You will also now notice you have a red Pixie Dust Meter at the top of your playing area. You also unlock the following quests upon completion: Learn to Heal and Charming the Wilderness.
