Introduction

Lawbot HQ is here! In these halls of injustice, the Lawbot boss has been capturing innocent toons and unfairly putting them on trial! Battle your way through the cogs' legal system as you earn Jury Notices and ultimately make your way to the Lawbot boss himself where the Cogs are the Judge, the Jury, and hopefully not the Executioner!

The District Attorney's Office

Your journey in Lawbot HQ begins here at the District Attorney's office. The DA office is the tall building on the right-hand side of the Lawbot HQ courtyard. It is here that you obtain Jury Notices, which are required to visit the Lawbot boss.

For more information, see The District Attorney Office.

History

This section will document Lawbot HQ's history, from when the very first clues to its exitence were uncovered to when it was finally released on the main Toontown server.

Early Clues & Rumors

Ever since Sellbot HQ came out, people have been making guesses and theories and trying to uncover clues about subsequent Cog HQ's. The first actual clue about Lawbot HQ was unearthed even before the release of Cashbot HQ by a glitch in the VP that revealed the Lawbot merits to be called "Subpoenas" (A letter by a Judge summoning one to court).

Other information about Lawbot HQ could be found in the unused "Lawbot" section of the Cog Disguise page in the Schticker Book, which revealed that Lawbot disguises would have 14 parts. No information as to how these parts would be obtained could be found, however.

The closed tunnel in The Brrrgh playground was also a source of some controversy. While the similar tunnel in Donald's Dreamland had been opened upon the release of Cashbot HQ, the tunnel in The Brrrgh remained closed. Most felt that this tunnel would lead to Lawbot HQ, which would most likely be the next HQ to be released. Others, however, pointed out that The Brrgh had more Bossbots than Lawbots, and claimed that this tunnel would instead be used to lead to Bossbot HQ.

Lawbot HQ's Release Draws Near

When 2006 rolled around, many people were sure that Lawbot HQ's release was drawing close. After all, Disney had established a pattern of releasing Cog HQ's early in the year with Sellbot HQ's Release at the end of 2003 and Cashbot HQ's relase at the beginning of 2005.

The first hard evidence that Lawbot HQ would be released soon was when this image appeared in the area used by TT as a "teaser" for new features.

This was followed by more "teasing" as Lawbots began to pop up all over the place -- In the Toontown Mailers, the Toontown Times, and in countless other places on the Toontown websites. It was now becoming quite evident that somthing big was about to be released...

The Eve of Lawbot HQ's Release

The test server had been down for matinence for almost a week. Most merely disregarded this downtime, saying that if Lawbot HQ was going to be released it would say "update" instead of matinence. A few dedicated toons had mangaed to remain on the test server for the majority of this downtime, but when they were booted on April 4, 2006 people were very suspicious that somthing big might be about to happen.

On the morning of April 5, 2006, a day that will go down in Toontown history, sleepy tester toons who had been checking the Test website almost every day for over a month woke up to a suprise. Lawbot HQ had been released.
