Quick Quest Guide
This Quest has 8 steps.What you will need: 5 Yellow Gems, 15 Snowflakes, 20 Sunflower Seeds and 10 Raspberries; as well as 25 Spider Silk (10 of which will be used to purchase one Bottle of Pepper Black Dye), 5 Acorns, 2 Yellow Gems, and one other dye bottle in order to make 1 Sweet Tea Light.
Quick Steps
- Fly over to Iridessa’s Glade and ask her if she has any quests. Pick The Shadow Bird.
- Earn a score of 7,000 point in Fairy Fireworks and return to Iridessa.
- Gather 5 Yellow Gems and give them to Iridessa.
- Gather 15 Snowflakes and give them to Iridessa.
- Earn a score of 7,000 point in Water Web and return to Dessa.
- Gather 20 Sunflower Seeds and give them to Iridessa.
- Gather 10 Raspberries and give them to Iridessa.
- Personal Tinker a Sweet Tea Light in Pepper Black and give it to Dessa.
- Go to Dulcie's Kitchen in Neverberry Thicket and Practice Bake 1 batch of Acorn Cookies. Return to Iridessa.
- Pick your reward and the quest is over.
In Depth Quest Guide
This is a full walk through for the quest, so if you're confused by any of the quick steps, hopefully these can help you out.
Stop by Iridessa’s Glade in Sunflower Gully and ask her if she has any quests. If you have completed the Light for Elixa quest, the quest should pop up immediately and you'll be able to begin. Upon starting the quest, Dessa will greet you:
Iridessa: "Hi, sunshine! Did you hear? A Shadow Bird just flew into the Hollow! They're really rare. Rosetta wants me to lure it to her garden with something sparkly!"
"You see, the magical shadow of a Shadow Bird is the only thing that can make Rosetta's Midnight Roses bloom, so this is kind of important."
"I could use some help. Want to lend a wing?"
Step 1
Accept this Quest?Accept the quest and Iridessa is thrilled and gives you the first step.
Iridessa: "Flickerific! Now, we need to put sparkly things in Rosetta's garden to lure the Shadow Bird."
"I'll catch some sun sparkles. Will you get some fireworks sparkles by playing Fairy Fireworks?"
Fly to Acorn Summit. Earn 7,000 points playing Fairy Fireworks. Return to Iridessa's Glade in Sunflower Gully when you are done!

"Since birds like sparkly things, they should like Yellow Gems, don't you think? Fly into The Never Mine and gather some Yellow Gems!"
Fly to Chilly Falls, enter The Never Mine, and gather 5 Yellow Gems. Return to Iridessa's Glade in Sunflower Gully when you are done!

This next step is a gathering step. To fulfill the requirement, you will need 5 Yellow Gems. If you don’t have the 5 needed already, fly into either the Never Mine or the Silver Trees Wilderness and Go Scouting. (Be sure to have enough cookies made prior to entering the Wilderness.) Once you have acquired the necessary amount, fly back to Iridessa.

Gather 15 Snowflakes and bring them to Iridessa's Glade in Sunflower Gully.

"Wait a flap -- maybe that's it! It's a SHADOW Bird! Maybe it's not supposed to like sparkly things. Maybe it's supposed to like DARK things!"
"I'll take the Raspberries to Rosetta's garden, but I bet the Shadow Bird won't want them. I think I know what it WILL want, though."
"Pixie Name Here, I need you to go to Copper's Tinkering Nook and make a Sweet Tea Light. But make it dark -- use Pepper Black Dye. Go, hurry!"
Fly to Copper's Tinkering Nook in Maple Tree Hill. Use Personal Tinkering to make a Sweet Tea Light. Use Pepper Black Dye from Daisy's Dyes in Cherryblossom Heights. Fly to Iridessa's Glade in Sunflower Gully and give this item to Iridessa when you are done!

Story So Far
You're helping Iridessa lure a Shadow Bird into Rosetta's garden. Fly to Copper's Tinkering Nook and tinker a Sweet Tea Light using Pepper Black Dye!
The first thing you need to do for this step is make sure you have a Bottle of Pepper Black Dye. If you do not, fly up to Cherryblossom Heights and enter Daisy's Dyes. Purchase your bottle of dye, which will cost you 10 Spider Silk. Once you have your dye, flap on over to Maple Tree Hill and enter Copper's Tinkering Nook. Now pick Personal Tinkering and choose Sweet Tea Light from the list. Make sure to use your Pepper Black Dye in one of the two color choices (it does not matter what you choose as the second color)! After you have tinkered the sweet tea light, return to Iridessa and give it to her.

Fly to Dulcie's Kitchen in Neverberry Thicket. Use Practice Baking to make 1 batch of Acorn Cookies. Return to Iridessa's Glade in Sunflower Gully when you are done!

Story So Far
You're helping Iridessa lure a Shadow Bird into Rosetta's garden. Fly to Dulcie's Kitchen and bake Acorn Cookies!
This baking task must be completed in Dulcie's Kitchen, which is located in Neverberry Thicket. Once inside, choose Practice Baking and select Acorn Cookies. You must be at least at Talent Level 1 for the recipe to be available. You may either choose to do all the steps, or just one of the three. When you are done making 1 batch of Acorn Cookies, fly back to Iridessa.

You will receive a Pepper Black Beautiful Bird as shown below. You also earn 95 Talent Points, as well as unlock the following quest upon completion: Haylo's Puzzle.
