The Animal Masquerade Scare (Quest)

Back to the Pixie Hollow Quests for Members page The Animal Masquerade Scare is a quest you can get from Fawn that was released to prepare for the 2011 Animal Masquerade. Upon completion, you will receive a Pumpkin Orange Jack-o-Lantern Tee (Fairies) or Pumpkin Orange Pumpkin Tee (Sparrow Men). Prerequisites: None. Released: 20 October 2011 Retired: 3 November 2011

Quick Quest Guide

This Quest has 6 step.

What you will need: 5 Feathers, 15 Dandelion Fluff and 10 Maple Leaves.

Quick Steps

• Go to Fawn's Hideout and ask if she has any quests. Pick The Animal Masquerade Scare.
• Gather 5 Feathers and give them to Fawn.
• Earn a score of 10,000 in Fairy Fireworks and return to Fawn.
• Gather 15 Dandelion Fluff and give them to Fawn.
• Purchase or Personal Tinker a Tinker Pot and give it to Fawn.
• Gather 10 Maple Leaves and give them to Fawn.
• Earn a score of 8,000 in Water Web and return to Fawn.
• Pick your reward and the quest is over.

In Depth Quest Guide

This is a full walk through for the quest, so if you're confused by any of the quick steps, hopefully these can help you out.

Head over to Fawn's Hideout in Maple Tree Hill and ask her if she has any quests. The quest should pop up immediately and you'll be able to begin. Upon starting the quest, Fawn will greet you:

Fawn: "Hooray, Pixie Name Here, you've come to help me with the Animal Masquerade! I can't wait to see everyone trick-or-treating in critter costumes! "
"Yeah, I know, trick-or-treating is a mainland Halloween tradition. But it's so much fun we're doing it, too!"
"Then again, some Fairies may be too spooked to trick-or-treat if we don't stop that strange noise coming from Bubbly Bog. Have you heard it? It's scaring the wings off everybody! "
"I've got an idea. I'm making some more Animal Masquerade masks for the shops. If you help me finish them, maybe we can figure out what that sound is at the same time. Will you help?"

Step 1

Accept this Quest?

Once you agree, Fawn is thrilled and gives you the first step.

Fawn: "Critterific! First let's finish this Hummingbird mask. I just need some Feathers. "
"Here's your chance to hear that spooky sound, because the Feathers I need are in the Bubbly Bog Wilderness. Be fearless and go get them! "

Fly to Dewdrop Vale, enter The Bubbly Bog Wilderness, and gather 5 Feathers. Return to Fawn's Hideout in Maple Tree Hill when you are done!

Story So Far

You're helping Fawn finish some Animal Masquerade masks. Go gather 5 Feathers in Bubbly Bog!

This is a gathering step. To fulfill the requirement, you will need 5 Feathers. If you do not already have the 5 feathers required, fly to the Wilderness and Go Scouting. (Be sure to have enough cookies made prior to entering the Wilderness.) Once you have acquired the 5 Feathers, head on back to Fawn and talk to her.

Step 2

I have Feathers for Fawn!

Fawn: "Thanks, chickadee! Did you hear that spooky sound? Do you have any idea what it might be?"
"That's okay, I don't have any ideas yet either. Let's keep working and maybe we can figure it out."
"My Dragonfly mask needs some fireworks sparkles to liven it up a bit. Will you get some by playing Fairy Fireworks?"

Fly to Acorn Summit. Earn 10,000 points playing Fairy Fireworks. Return to Fawn's Hideout in Maple Tree Hill when you are done!

Story So Far

You're helping Fawn finish some Animal Masquerade masks. Go play Fairy Fireworks!

Now it's time to head up to Acorn Summit to play Fairy Fireworks until you reach a score of 10,000 points (whether in one shot or cumulative). Once you're done, go back and see Fawn again.

Step 3

I have fireworks sparkles for Fawn!

Fawn: "Great! So how about that spooky sound? Any new ideas yet? I was thinking that it sort of sounds like moaning but…?"
"Ohhh, I get scared just thinking about it!!"
"Err… sorry about that. Look, uh, how about getting me some Dandelion Fluff for my Bee mask? I'll think more about that sound and see if I can't figure out what it is."

Gather 15 Dandelion Fluff and bring them to Fawn's Hideout in Maple Tree Hill.

You're helping Fawn finish some Animal Masquerade masks. Gather Dandelion Fluff!

An ingredient collecting task! You are looking for Dandelion Fluff if you don't have 15 already. Once you get the required 15 Dandelion Fluff, give them to Fawn.

Step 4

I have Dandelion Fluff for Fawn!

Fawn: "Pixie Name Here, I know what the sound is! Myka the scout-talent flew into Bubbly Bog to investigate it! Oh, she is SO brave!"
"The sound is coming from a PIRATE'S WHISTLE that's stuck in a tree! Every time the wind blows, the whistle makes a moaning noise! The mystery is solved!"
"But now we have another problem. If a pirate's whistle is in Bubbly Bog, that means a PIRATE was in Bubbly Bog!"
"We have to keep those pirates away from Pixie Hollow, and I think I know a way. I need you to get me a Tinker Pot from Treetop Housewares! Hurry!"

Fly to Treetop Housewares in Treetop Bend and get a Tinker Pot. Bring it to Fawn's Hideout in Maple Tree Hill when you are done!

Story So Far

Pirates have been in Bubbly Bog, but Fawn has an idea to keep them out. Go get a Tinker Pot from Treetop Housewares!

To complete this task, you need to give Fawn a Tinker Pot. You can give her any tinker pot you own in any color. If you do not own a tinker pot, you can either purchase one or tinker one. To buy one, fly up to Treetop Bend and enter Treetop Housewares where it currently costs 93 Spider Silk to get one. To tinker the pot, flap to Copper's Tinkering Nook in Maple Tree Hill. In order to Personal Tinker the Tinker Pot, you will have to have the Blueprint unlocked and available for Personal Tinkering. To unlock the Tinker Pot Blueprint, you must reach Talent Level 2. When you have your tinker pot, return to Fawn and give it to her.

Step 5

I have a Tinker Pot for Fawn!

Fawn: "Critterific! Now I'll tell you my plan for keeping the pirates out of the Wilderness. I'm going to mix up a batch of Pixie Mist!"
"Pixie Mist looks just like green fog, and it will make Bubbly Bog look real spooky from a distance-maybe long enough for the pirates to decide never to go there again."
"Pixie Mist is usually made in a cauldron. Cauldron is just another word for a big cooking pot, you know, and it's a symbol of Halloween on the mainland."
"But this Tinker Pot will do just as well. Now, to make the Pixie Mist I'll need some Maple Leaves. Will you gather Maple Leaves?"

Gather 10 Maple Leaves and bring them to Fawn's Hideout in Maple Tree Hill.

You're helping Fawn make Pixie Mist. Gather Maple Leaves!

Another ingredient collecting task! This time you are searching for Maple Leaves if you don't have 10 already. Once you get the required 10 Maple Leaves, give them to Fawn.

Step 6

I have Maple Leaves for Fawn!

Fawn: "Flaptastic, chickadee! I have all the rest of the ingredients except water."
"Go get some dewdrops by playing Water Web, okay?"

Fly to Neverberry Thicket. Earn 8,000 points playing Water Web. Return to Fawn's Hideout in Maple Tree Hill when you are done!

You're helping Fawn make Pixie Mist. Go play Water Web!

More talent game practice! Flap over to Neverberry Thicket and play Water Web until you reach a score of 8,000 points (whether in one shot or cumulative). When you are finished playing, return to Fawn.

Fawn: "Thanks, Pixie Name Here! I can take it from here. When the Pixie Mist is ready, I'll ask Brawn the Bear to carry it to Bubbly Bog for me."
"Thanks for helping me, chickadee. Together we finished my Animal Masquerade masks AND we solved the Bubbly Bog mystery!"
"Nobody will be scared to go trick-or-treating now, yay!"
"Be sure to get your Animal Masquerade masks at the shops, and I'll see you trick-or-treating, okay? Fly with you, chickadee!"

If you are a Fairy, you will receive a Pumpkin Orange Jack-O-Lantern Tee as show below as your reward. Sparrow Men receive a Pumpkin Orange Pumpkin Tee with Pepper Black Trim.
