In Depth Quest Guide

This is a full walk through for the quest, so if you're confused by any of the quick steps, hopefully these can help you out.

Head over to Fawn's Hideout in Maple Tree Hill and ask her if she has any quests. The quest should pop up immediately and you'll be able to begin. Upon starting the quest, Fawn will greet you:

Fawn: "YUCK! I did it AGAIN! I ruined my shoes!"
"Pixie Name Here, what is the matter with me? No matter how hard I try, my work shoes are always wrecked by the end of the day. They just wear out!"
"Rosetta says I'm hard on clothes. I guess she's right. Hey, do you think you could help me out? I can give you a bottle of Mud Brown Dye in return!"

Step 1

Accept this Quest?

Once you agree, Fawn is thrilled and gives you the first step.

Fawn: "Critterific! Now here's what we're gonna do -- YOU'RE gonna make me a new pair of shoes! Mendy says you're a FLAPTASTIC tailor, and me? Well, not so good."
"Fly to Mendy's Tailoring Nook and make me a pair of shoes -- please? They can be any shoes you want, as long as they're sturdy. You pick the color, too!"

Fly to Mendy's Tailoring Nook in Maple Tree Hill. Use Practice Tailoring to make any pair of shoes using any color dye. Return to Fawn's Hideout in Maple Tree Hill when you are done!
Progress: # of 1

Story So Far

Fawn needs a new pair of shoes. Help her by flying to Mendy's Tailoring Nook and Practice Tailoring any pair of shoes in any color!

Fly across Maple Tree Hill and enter Mendy's Tailoring Nook. Choose Practice Tailoring and make any pair of shoes you want. Select any color you like! You can choose to either do all the steps, or just one. Once you finish tailoring, return to Fawn.

Editor’s Note: The following original Story So Far text for this step was changed.
"Great, because I have a simple solution -- you can make me a new pair of shoes! Mendy says you're a FLAPTASTIC tailor, and me? Well, not so good."

Step 2

I made a new pair of shoes for Fawn!

Fawn: "Chickadee, these shoes are perfect! Thanks!"
"You know what? I'm going to clean these new shoes every day. Oak Leaves make great shoe cleaners. Can you gather some?"

Gather 15 Oak Leaves and bring them to Fawn's Hideout in Maple Tree Hill!
Progress: # of 15

Story So Far

You made Fawn a new pair of shoes. Now gather Oak Leaves to clean them!

An ingredient collecting task! You are looking for Oak Leaves if you don't have 15 already. Once you get the required 15 Oak Leaves, give them to Fawn.

Editor’s Note: The original text of this quest included this line of dialogue, which was changed.
"Critterific! These are perfect! Thanks!"

Your Reward

I have Oak Leaves for Fawn!

Fawn: "Yup, those will work just fine. Maybe I'll actually be able to keep a pair of work shoes for more than just one day now!"
"Here's your bottle of Mud Brown Dye. I came up with the color myself. Sounds kinda gross, but it's actually really pretty. And you can only get it from me!"
"If you want to do more tailoring, flap by any time. You KNOW I'll need another pair of shoes... eventually!"

You get a Bottle of Mud Brown Dye as show below as your reward, as well as earn 20 Talent Points upon completion.
