Friends List

Making Friends

Sendrequest.jpg If you want to add a player to your friends list, click the "Ask to be Friend" button on their profile. The other player will be given the option accept or decline your request. If they accept your request, you will see their name on your friends list, and they will see your name on theirs. Now you will be able to see when your friend is online, find out what room they are in, and send each other messages.

As you explore the kingdom, you may meet players who are interested in becoming your friend. Often they will send you a friend request. To review the friend requests you have received, go to the Friends tab and check how many Friends requests you have. On the top of the Friends section, you will see "You have _ new friend request(s)". To review these requests, click the "Show" button. You can choose to accept the request by clicking "Ok", decline the request by clicking "Cancel", or ignore the player sending the request by clicking "Ignore". Clicking "Ignore" will prevent the player in question from sending anymore friend requests for a little while.

Your friends list will only hold 150 friends and once your friend list is full you can no longer add members. If you click accept to a friend request when your list is full, the request will simply just be added back to your current list of requests and the next request in line will pop-up.

If you are getting too many friend requests and no longer wish to receive them, you can turn off your friends requests via the Settings Menu. When trying to send friend requests yourself, if you are unable to click the "Ask To Be A Friend" button for another player this may be due to the fact that they are already your friend or that they have their friend requests turned off.

Using your Friends List

Your friends list allows you stay in contact with your friends. You can send a message to any of your friends by clicking on their name and then the "Send Message" button. By clicking on a name on your friends list, you can get some information about your friend. On the bottom of the window you will see the date of their last activity, or if they are currently online, the room they are in. Their signature is also displayed here. Friends that are online are also highlighted in green and brought to the top of your friends list. If your friend is online, you can meet up with them by clicking "Enter Same Room" if the option is available. Doing this will take you to the room they are in, however, if they are in a mini-game or restricted area, you will not be able to go to them.

Deleting Friends

You can remove a friend from you list at anytime by selecting their name on your friends list and clicking "Delete". A message will appear asking you if you are sure you want to delete your friend. You can choose to proceed by clicking "OK", or if you change your mind, click "Cancel".

Messages

Sending

To send a message to one of your friends, bring up your friends list and click the friend in which you wish to send the message to. Next type your message. Be aware that VMK limits what can be put in messages and does not allow you to repeat words and symbols more than twice per message. When you are done, click "Send Message". You can message friends who are online or offline. If your friend is offline, they will be able to read your message the next time they log in.

Reading

Reply.jpg If you receive a message you can read it my clicking the Mail Button and selecting the "Messages" tab. Messages from VMK Staff automatically open the Mail window for you. The number of messages you have appears at the top of page and you will see "You have _ new message(s). After you have finished reading a message you can click the "Delete" button to get rid of it. This will bring you to the next message waiting for you if you have more than one. If you get a message you find offending or threatening in any way, report it to staff by clicking "report". You can also reply to the message by clicking the "Reply" button at the bottom of the message. This will allow you to send a message back to the person who initially messaged you. The "Report" and "Reply" options are not available for messages from VMK Staff.
