VMK: Creating your avatar

Creating your VMK character is a very important step in becoming a member. So, after you register, this is what you get to do! Follow these simple steps if you're confused. :)

Step 1: A Look

This is where you create your actual VMK character. First, pick your gender (whether you are a boy, or girl). Next, come up with a name. You can come up with a cool name that fits you! Just simply type it in the box that says "Please Name Your Character" But sometimes, your name won't get accepted. VMK has a strict, but fair, dictionary. It makes sure everyone isn't saying things they shouldn't. Your name will flash red if it isn't acceptable. But VMK may also give you a pop-up in this step saying your name wasn't accepted. Just come up with a new name. But there is one more thing: Someone might have already chosen the name you want. In that case, VMK will give you some other suggestions. You are not allowed to have numbers at the end of your name. Keep working until you find a name for you, and try to be creative. Some people put funny quotes for their name (ex. DudeWhereIsMyCar) or interests (ex. ComicHero). Now, simply scroll through the different options for shoes, bottoms, tops, hair, and so on to find a look you like. Finally, scroll through the different kinds of rooms until you find the one you like. And last, click "Next" for the next step. :)

Step 2: Some Advice

VMK is nice enough to give you some helpful advice in this step. Just read it, and click next when you're ready! :)

Step 3: VMK Contract

This is the simplest step of them all. VMK will show you a contract that states that you'll follow the VMK Values. (Might want to read up on those before you play!) If you promise to be good, and follow the values, then click "Accept." (If you click "Decline", you can't play.) Now, let the adventure begin. Enjoy your first day in VMK! :)
