Beta

Problem with category

The category that is here is causing some problems in other pages. Since it always includes the category any pages that use the Beta tag will be in the beta category. That is good. The problem is that any pages that then include those pages will also be included in that category (see, for example, our discussion at Talk:"it's a small world" Imports). That is bad.

DPL might solve some of the issues with this, but its not installed yet and will require some changes - so I don't want to rush into anything before we understand what we're doing.

I'm not sure what the solution is. We can't use the <noinclude> tag, because then the category won't show up on the item pages. I'm not sure if <includeonly> or <onlyinclude> will do what we want, but it doesn't sound it.

Hmm, this is a difficult situation. We can't put <noinclude> in the item's page, because the tag would then not show up on other pages, plus it would be more work for us. I'll try to think about it. --Scootz 06:03, 12 September 2007 (CDT) (Talk | contribs)
