Information

Teleporters are some of the most powerful items in the game, allowing you to connect your own rooms together, or even to trade a teleporter and give it to a friend to put in their room.

Unfortunately, they are also some of the most complex items, and subject to many problems if you are trading them.

Teleporters are always paired together - entering one will always send you to the other in the pair if it is placed in a room. If it is not placed, you won't go anywhere. You can not ever "connect" two teleporters that were not originally a matched set. Because of this, it is not advised that you trade teleporters unless you know who you are trading with, in case you accidentally get a mis-matched pair. You should always test teleporters to make sure they work together.
