Teary Trouble (Quest)

Back to the Pixie Hollow Quests for Members page Teary Trouble is a quest you can get from Silvermist. Upon completion, you will receive a Triple Bubble Necklace Summer Green (Fairies) or Gavin's 3-2 Neck Band Summer Green (Sparrow Men). Prerequisites: Advice For Silvermist must be completed. Quick Quest Guide

This Quest has 9 steps.

What you will need: 15 Dandelion Fluff, 20 Spider Silk, 33 Blueberries (to buy 1 Bottle of Candy Blue Dye) and 5 Meadow Grass.

Quick Steps

• Go to Silvermist's Grotto and ask if she has any quests. Pick Teary Trouble.
• Fly to Tinker's Nook to see Tinker Bell.
• Gather 15 Dandelion Fluff and give them to Tink.
• Earn a score of 2,000 points on Petal Pick-Up and return to Tinker Bell.
• Gather 20 Spider Silk and give them to Tinker Bell.
• Go to Silvermist's Grotto and speak to Silvermist.
• Head back to Tinker's Nook and check in with Tinker Bell.
• Purchase one Bottle of Candy Blue Dye and give it to Tink.
• Gather 5 Meadow Grass and give them to Tinker Bell.
• Return to Silvermist's Grotto.
• Pick your reward and the quest is over.

In Depth Quest Guide

This is a full walk through for the quest, so if you're confused by any of the quick steps, hopefully these can help you out.

Head over to Silvermist's Grotto in Dewdrop Vale and ask her if she has any quests. If you have finished the quest Advice For Silvermist, the quest should appear in the list of quests you may do and you can begin immediately. Upon starting the quest, Silvermist will greet you:

Silvermist: "Hi, raindrop. *SOB!* Oh, don't mind me, I'm just *SNIFFLE* a little teary. The sparkles on the stream are so *SNIFF* pretty -- it makes me *SOB* cry!"
"We *SOB* water-talents cry a lot. It's just *SNIFF* the way we are, right? And you have to admit, *SNIFFLE* the sparkles are pretty ..."
"Uh-oh, *SNIFF* I'm out of leafkerchiefs! Can you *SNIFF* ask Tinker Bell if she has any more?"

Step 1

Accept this Quest?

Once you agree, Silvermist is thrilled and gives you the first step.

Silvermist: "Thanks. I'd fly to her myself *SNIFF* but I can't see very well with my eyes all teary."
"Hurry if you can. *SNIFF* My nose is getting stuffed up!"

Fly to Tinker's Nook! You can get there from Cottonpuff Field.

Story So Far

Silvermist is stuck in a water-talent sob fest Hurry and see if Tinker Bell has any spare leafkerchiefs!

So, once you're finished talking to Silvermist, fly to Tinker's Nook in Cottonpuff Field and talk to Tinker Bell.

Step 2

I’m here to see Tinker Bell!

Tinker Bell: "As Clank would say, heydee-hi heydee-ho, Pixie Name Here! What brings you to Tinker's Nook?"
"Silvermist needs leafkerchiefs AGAIN? But the sewing-talents and I made a whole bunch of them for her awhile ago!"
"Okay, let's get the materials first. Can you gather some Dandelion Fluff? A little bit of Dandelion Fluff can soak up a lot of tears!"

Gather 15 Dandelion Fluff and bring them to Tinker's Nook in Cottonpuff Field.

Time to collect some ingredients! Gather up some Dandelion Fluff, if you don't have 15 already. Once you get the 15 Dandelion Fluff needed, return to Tinker Bell.

Step 3

I have Dandelion Fluff for Tinker Bell!

Tinker Bell: "Right! I was going to use Ivy Leaves for the leafkerchiefs, but maybe we should use cherryblossom petals instead. They’re soft but strong."
"I guess that means we'll need to call these "petalkerchiefs", right? Silvermist will love them!"
"Go get petals by helping Rosetta up in Whispering Winds, just through Cherryblossom Heights!"

Fly to Cherryblossom Heights. Earn 2,000 points playing Petal Pick-Up in Whispering Winds. Return to Tinker's Nook in Cottonpuff Field when you are done!

Story So Far

Silvermist is stuck in a water-talent sob fest. Help Tinker Bell make leafkerchiefs by catching flower petals with Rosetta up in Whispering Winds!

You need to play a talent game now. Head over to Cherryblossom Heights and play Petal Pick-Up until you reach a score of 2,000 points (whether in one shot or cumulative). Once you're finished playing, go back and see Tinker Bell again.

Step 4

I have cherryblossom petals for Tink!

Tinker Bell: "Perfect!"
"Now we need a little Spider Silk. The sewing-talents will use it to stitch the petalkerchiefs together for us."

Gather 20 pieces of Spider Silk and bring them to Tinker's Nook in Cottonpuff Field.

Another ingredient collecting task! You are looking for Spider Silk this time, if you don't have 20 already. Once you get the required 20 Spider Silk, give them to Tinker Bell.

Step 5

I have Spider Silk for Tinker Bell!

Tinker Bell: "Oh, this Spider Silk is so thin, it's perfect! Thick Spider Silk doesn't work for delicate things like leafkerchiefs -- I mean, petalkerchiefs!"
"I think that's everything! Maybe you should check on Silvermist and make sure she's okay."
"Oh, and give her my very last regular old leafkerchief -- you know, to tide her over."
"Hey, TIDE her over! That's water-talent humor, right?"
"While you're gone, I'll bring all the materials for the new petalkerchiefs to the sewing-talents!"

Fly to Silvermist's Grotto! You can get there from Dewdrop Vale.

Return to Silvermist's Grotto in Dewdrop Vale and check up on Silvermist.

Step 6

I’m here to see Silvermist!

Silvermist: "Pleade day Tink's almost ready wid dose leafkerchiefs. *SNIFF* Da wader sparkles are still doe preddy and I'b still crying!"
"Oh, how sweed! Tink gabe be one of hers to tide me ober. TIDE! HA! Dat's wader-talent humor. *HONK!* Ahh, dat's bedder."
"Whad? You and Tink have a *SOB* surprise for be? *HONK!* Dat's so sweed! Bud oh dear, it's just making be cry *SOB* harder!!"
"Okay. I'll be here waiding."

Fly to Tinker's Nook! You can get there from Cottonpuff Field.

Fly back to Tinker's Nook to ask Tinker Bell how the petalkerchiefs are coming along.

Step 7

I’m here to see Tinker Bell!

Tinker Bell: "Don’t worry, Pixie Name Here, these petalkerchiefs are almost done. We just need to dye them blue. Sil is a water-talent, after all!"
"Can you pick up a bottle of Candy Blue Dye? Prism's Paints should have some. It’s over in Pumpkin Patch."

Fly to Prism's Paints in Pumpkin Patch and get a Bottle of Candy Blue Dye. Bring it to Tinker's Nook in Cottonpuff Field when you are done!

Story So Far

Silvermist is stuck in a water-talent sob fest. Help Tinker Bell make leafkerchiefs by getting a bottle of Candy Blue Dye at Prism’s Paints!

Fly to the Pumpkin Patch and enter Prism's Paints. Buy a Bottle of Candy Blue Dye. The dye costs 33 Blueberries, so if you don't have enough, make sure to go look for them! When you get the dye, return to Tinker Bell.

Step 8

I have a bottle of Candy Blue Dye for Tinker Bell!

Tinker Bell: "You bought the dye! Great! I'll take it to the sewing-talents right away!"
"Oh, while the sewing-talents finish up, can you find some Meadow Grass? We’ll need it to tie the petalkerchiefs up in a neat bundle."

Gather 5 pieces of Meadow Grass and bring them to Tinker's Nook in Cottonpuff Field.

Your last ingredient collecting task! Go search for Meadow Grass, if you don't have 5 already. Once you get the 5 Meadow Grass needed, give them to Tink.

I have Meadow Grass for Tinker Bell!

Tinker Bell: "Great! When the sewing-talents heard about Silvermist, they stitched super fast! The petalkerchiefs are done already!"
"I'll just tie them in a bundle with this Meadow Grass!"
"Fly these over to Silvermist right away! She's going to love them!"

Fly to Silvermist's Grotto! You can get there from Dewdrop Vale.

Story So Far

Silvermist is stuck in a water-talent sob fest. Deliver her new petalkerchiefs right away!

Flit back to Silvermist's Grotto to give Silvermist the petalkerchiefs and finish the quest!
