Pixie Hollow Beta- Released

Now that Beta has been released, there is a lot to do. I'd love to have some rough pages made. Been trying to redo the main page to give a new skeleton. I really need our editors to help filling in the pages. I've seen a lot of work done already and really appreciate it. Just wanted to let everybody know where things stand. Right now I just have some game pages with only their locations listed. Would love to have some in-game images for location information as well as gameplay. Also we need pages about Leaf Journal pages as well as the different areas. I'm hoping to do a large image for the areas but will need some time to work on it. Whatever we can gather now I'd love to have added and I can go back through to work out some of the formatting issues. Eventually we'll need item pages and templates made (thankfully now that items have names), but that is not a top priority as shops aren't open. Might want to work through games and badges to begin with, these seem like helpful guides at the moment. Badges might also be best with a template, might be something we should discuss. Thanks! --UpInTheAir 14:11, 20 September 2008 (PDT)

I was thinking for the badges something along the lines of the template we did for VMK pins, of course substituting some of the areas. Such as Name | How to Obtain it | Picture | Release Dates and Special Notes. That is my idea for it. --Brain 14:41, 20 September 2008 (PDT)

I agree. Wanted to be in the game to make sure I had all the appropriate information before I started working on the templates. I'm hoping to get a game page done as an example and then set to work on these seeing as some badges are limited time only.--UpInTheAir 14:58, 20 September 2008 (PDT)

I tried something out for the badge template in the sandbox, it can be found here: http://www.disneyonlineworlds.com/index.php/Pixie_Hollow_Sandbox#Badge_Template. --Brain 15:33, 20 September 2008 (PDT)

Pixie Hollow - Redone

Just a suggestion, I would halt everything else on here for now. With the sneak peek on September 6th, I have noticed they have redone everything we have currently worked on (exception of the tutorial, which I'm not 100% sure if they have changed or not.) The homes, clothing, furniture, etc features have been redone in game, and thus will have to be redone here too. Might be best to wait for the game to go live to do all of this, don't you guys think? --Jack I 15:08, 6 September 2008 (PDT)

I think that we should still get whatever images we can right now, because it is part of the history of the game. : - ). Any other thoughts? --Haveamagicalday (Talk | Contributions) 15:13, 6 September 2008 (PDT)

Personally I thought about that, and have no problem leaving these as images for the history of the game. Most of the sections from pre-beta are completed, but those that aren't can't be finished unless someone already has all of the info compiled and ready to go. --Jack I 15:35, 6 September 2008 (PDT)

The Pixie Hollow section is actually in pretty good shape. I'm not sure which sections you are suggesting halting...The only pages that currently need making are the general "My Wardrobe" page, which should be easy enough to throw together with images we already have, basically just explaining how the My Wardrobe section allows/allowed users to dress their fairy. The "Friends" section also needs to be done, but I should have images for that already captured. I did a lot of image grabbing before I started making pages. The last thing that I'd like to be done is the completion of the "Meet the Fairy" pages, and looking at the Pixie Hollow website, these pages are all still the same. However I would appreciate if these sections get work on as soon as possible. I'm glad we have been able to get this images to preserve the humble begins of the game.--UpInTheAir 21:48, 6 September 2008 (PDT)

Last I checked, Brain was working on finishing up the "Meet The Fairies" page. I can try to help with a couple, but as of late I haven't had much time to. --Jack I 22:20, 6 September 2008 (PDT)

I have been working on the "Meet the Fairies", but only currently on the fairies from the books, which I have one more to complete, I believe GoodPolarGirl has been working on the fairies from the movies and so-on, but once I have finished up the stories I will be glad to help with the movies. --Brain 07:43, 7 September 2008 (PDT)

I have finished all of the Meet The Fairies section, there may be some minor editing needed, please inform me of anything that needs to be redone. Thanks. --Brain 11:09, 7 September 2008 (PDT)

Image Not Available Template?

I noticed we didn't have an Image Not Available template, so I tried to make one myself. I know, it's not that good, but I tried my best. I tried not to make it to big, so that it wouldn't look bad when used excessively.

I was trying to find a backround image. I tried the Pixie Hollow site symbol, but that didn't turn out to clean. I also tried using the Tink's Tips messages as a concept, but that didn't turn out to good either. --GoodPolarGirl 12:57, 4 August 2008 (PDT)

I think it is a nice image - not large and obtrusive. It is a good size and gets the point across :) -- SpinMarty 16:00, 4 August 2008 (PDT)

My only thoughts are that the image text needs to be more "fairy-ish". Attempted some:

Ooh, both are wonderful! Although, the first one's a little big. The available looks too stretched. The second one is the one I like best. It is small, easy to read, and "fairy-ish" (btw, nice image choice!) --GoodPolarGirl 16:41, 4 August 2008 (PDT)

I was actually leaning towards the second one as well. Didn't have a whole lot of time to play with it but I think it will work for now. Right now I'm not sure how many of these I want to use for our PH pages. I'd rather wait a bit until we get everything a little more settled and then use sparingly.--UpInTheAir 16:52, 4 August 2008 (PDT)

Ah, the second one is my choice as well. Since the game is new I would think that this wouldn't be needed yet or very sparingly (since you can get everything if I recall correctly.) We originally used an "image not available" photo for VMK since there were many items, at the time, that we could not get photos of (either rare items, beta, etc.) Anyhow, just my 2-cents. -- SpinMarty 16:59, 4 August 2008 (PDT) Bold text
