He not only serves as the town judge, he's also Radiator Springs' resident doctor. Doc is respected and admired by all the townsfolk for the way he looks out for their health and tends to their aches and pains. The mild-mannered van had a monthly route that took him through Radiator Springs. On one of his regular stops in town, Dustin had a near head-on collision with one of the locals. Their almost fatal meeting turned into a collision of fate. The couple fell in love and moved to then nearby suburb of Couperville, where they are now enjoying their relaxing retirement together. To his horror everyone in town couldn't stop staring at him, but to his surprise the girls in town couldn't stop staring either. He had a voracious appetite for collection records and was a gifted student at a nationally renowned East Coast music conservatory. Mater runs Tow-Mater Towing and Salvage and manages the local impound lot. Though a little rusty, he has the quickest towrope in Carburetor County and is always the first to lend a helping hand.
