Pixie Hollow announced the Great Winter Light-Up under the "Events" section on the Pixie Hollow site. It is a preparation event to help get ready for the 2009 Winter Wonderland Party.Winter Wonderland Party: December 21 - January 4

There’s a chill in the air and a hush in Winter Woods, which can only mean one thing ... it’s almost time for the Winter Wonderland Party! We’re celebrating in the Hollow with frosty festivities for all, including a shimmerific holiday snowflake hunt, a wintry badge, and special appearances from the Minister of Winter and the splashtastic water-talent, Silvermist! Tink and friends will also have a special holiday chain of TWELVE quests for Members, filled to the brim with song, spirit, and treats for winter trees. Plus, the Ballroom will open for Members for the first time ever in Havendish Square!
But before the party can begin, we all have to help light the night for the Winter Fairies who are hard at work sculpting snowflakes and polishing icicles. Starting December 12 through December 20, you’ll be able to earn a badge for playing Fairy Fireworks -- eight times. Look for more about the Great Winter Light-Up in the Never News!

Fairies who helped light the night for the Winter Fairies to work by playing Fairy Fireworks eight times were awarded the 2009 Great Winter Light-Up badge.

Decorations
The Great Winter Light-Up was held in Snowcap Glade, Evergreen Overlook, Chilly Falls and Acorn Summit. When players visited the Winter Woods meadows, the sound of hammers and tools tinkering could be heard in the background.Snowcap Glade
