Description

Pirate Vs. Pirate is a mini-game in Pirates of the Caribbean Online in which players can fight in combat against each other. These battles can be accessed by going to lookout in your Sea Chest. There are two types of play in Pirate Vs. Pirate combat. The first is Mayhem, an every man for himself style of play. The second is Team Battle, where the group is split up evenly into two teams. You can also set up a minimum amount of players with the options menu next to the game style that you wish to play.

You must go back to the lookout menu and click the join button in order to officially join the match. Keep in mind that once you have join the game at this point, you will be unable to exit out of the match. A lookout pop-up will tell you that you will be teleported to the match once it has been created. You will probably have to wait a few more minutes for you to be teleported to match.

After those few minutes, your screen will go black and you will be teleported to your Pirate Vs. Pirate match.

Strategies

  • One strategy if you have a Voodoo Doll is to attune to your opponent and constantly run around in circles using hexes until your enemy is dead.

Reason For The Removal Of Statistics

I've removed the Statistics section from this page because DOW is based on facts, not opinions. Some players cannot get voodoo dolls, due to basic accounts, or they are low level. This is the same with all weapons. Meaning, that if you had it, it could be giving wrong info to players. Also, there's many ways people think are better ways of doing this. Giving one reason, or a few, won't won't for everyone. This is why it's removed, statistics shouldn't be on the POTCO page, because it takes skill to do some of them, and everybody has different skills. --Haveamagicalday (Talk | Contributions) 18:59, 7 February 2008 (CST)

Organization Of Pictures

Could someone organize these pictures on the page? I had a extremely hard time trying to put them in the right places. You don't have to use all of them if you don't want to.

Strategies Section

I have put back the strategies section as this is a perfectly legitimate section. Where we are mainly concerned about "fact" is when speculation is posted as though it is factual. This is not speculation, rather it is advice/game tips and it is presented as such. Game tips can prove helpful to players and so we have been including such tips in our wiki. The VMK side, for instance, has many instances of advice being given.--UpInTheAir 20:53, 6 February 2008 (CST)

This is done, with more descriptive organization, and better pictures. --Haveamagicalday (Talk | Contributions) 18:59, 7 February 2008 (CST)

Just because you don't think the section is as "descriptive" as the ones for VMK does not mean that you should remove this section all together. You should especially not remove it after a Bureaucrat/Sysop has already reverted edits of yours considered to be inappropriate. If you have problems with the section, there are two proper ways to handle the situation. You could either A) discuss proposed changes (ie removal) and your reason behind them and wait for a conclusion to be reached before making any edits B) add to the section yourself so that it is "descriptive" enough for your tastes.

Trust me, there are many many many pages on the wiki that are not well done and when I run across these I do my best to improve them and not just delete them.
