Learn to Heal with Dessa (Quest)

Quick Quest Guide

What you will need: 5 Maple Leaves, 5 Truffles, as well as 38 Oak Leaves (to purchase a pair of Gadgety Goggles).

Quick Steps

• Go to Iridessa's Glade and ask her if she has any quests. Pick Learn to Heal.
• Go to The Bubbly Bog in Dewdrop Vale and start a new adventure called Learn to Heal. Complete all the challenges within the adventure and return to Iridessa.
• Gather 5 Maple Leaves and give them to Iridessa.
• Earn a score of 5,000 in Fairy Fireworks and return to Iridessa.
• Gather 5 Truffles and bring them to Iridessa.
• Purchase a pair of Gadgety Goggles from Gale's Outfitters and give them to Dessa.
• Pick your reward and the quest is over.

In Depth Quest Guide

This is a full walk through for the quest, so if you're confused by any of the quick steps, hopefully these can help you out.

Head over to Iridessa's Glade in Sunflower Gully and ask Iridessa if she has any quests. The quest should pop up immediately and you'll be able to begin. Upon starting the quest, Dessa will greet you:

Iridessa: "Sunshine! You’re here! Excellent, because the research I’m doing and Winda’s ideas are perfect so you could really benefit and --"
"Okay, Dessa, slow down. Take a deep breath IN ... and a deep breath OUT ... Okay, let me try this again."
"It’s time for you to learn your fifth Talent Skill, HEAL, and I’ve found some shimmerific ideas about it from the journals of Winda Quickwing!"
"Like Haylo, Winda is a legendary light-talent. She also had a knack for the Heal Talent Skill. Are you ready to learn Heal the Winda way?"

Step 1

Iridessa: "Flickerific! Let’s start with simple bandages. Winda was always on the go, and she learned all about emergency bandages."
"She discovered that if a Fairy gets injured while in the Wilderness, the best thing to do is make a bandage out of special moss she called Medi-Moss."
"I want you to fly to Bubbly Bog and find some Medi-Moss!"

Fly to Dewdrop Vale and enter the Bubbly Bog Wilderness. Find Medi-Moss. Return to Iridessa's Glade in Sunflower Gully when you are done!

Story So Far

Iridessa is teaching you your fifth Talent Skill, Heal. Show her that you understand how to make emergency bandages by finding Medi-Moss in Bubbly Bog!

Leave Iridessa's Glade and fly to the Bubbly Bog in Dewdrop Vale. Start a new quest and select Learn to Heal. Complete all the challenges and report back to Iridessa. Be sure to have enough cookies made prior to entering the Wilderness!

Step 2

Iridessa: "Did you investigate it? Great! On to lesson two -- every light-talent knows that light helps the healing process. Light is warm, and warmth heals!"
"We can combine our light abilities with our Heal Talent Skill to create special Warm Wraps."
"Winda didn’t discover Warm Wraps, but she did show that Maple Leaves work best. Go find Maple Leaves to make Warm Wraps!"

Gather 5 Maple Leaves and bring them to Iridessa's Glade in Sunflower Gully.

Story So Far

Iridessa is teaching you your fifth Talent Skill, Heal. Show her that you understand how warmth can heal by gathering Maple Leaves!

Your next task is a gathering one! It’s time to gather up some Maple Leaves, if you don’t have 5 already. Once you get the required 5 Maple Leaves, return to Iridessa and give them to her.

Step 3

Iridessa: "Shimmerific! Next let’s talk about Color Drain. You probably know about it -- it’s what happens when a light-talent makes too many rainbows."
"Winda had her own special cure! You bathe in red, blue and green fireworks sparkles! Go get some by helping the Minister of Autumn in Sunset Grove!"

Fly to Acorn Summit. Earn 5,000 points playing Fairy Fireworks in Sunset Grove. Return to Iridessa's Glade in Sunflower Gully when you are done!

Story So Far

Iridessa is teaching you your fifth Talent Skill, Heal. Show her that you understand how to cure Color Drain by helping the Minister of Autumn in Sunset Grove!

Now it's time to head up to Acorn Summit and play Fairy Fireworks until you get a score of at least 5,000 points (whether in one shot or cumulative). Once you're done, go back and see Iridessa.

Step 4

Iridessa: "Flashtastic! Next lesson -- Winda could make sparkles that were really super bright. They were so bright that your eyes got sore looking at them!"
"Winda asked the healing-talents to create Eye Ease, a lotion that helps sore eyes!"
"Truffles -- that’s right, truffles -- are the key ingredient. I want you to fly into the Wilderness and collect some!"

Fly to Pumpkin Patch and enter the Silver Trees Wilderness. Find 5 Truffles. Return to Iridessa's Glade in Sunflower Gully when you are done!

Story So Far

Iridessa is teaching you your fifth Talent Skill, Heal. Show her that you can understand the importance of making Eye Ease by gathering Truffles in the Wilderness!

This next step is a gathering task. To fulfill the requirement, you will need 5 Truffles. If you don’t have the 5 needed already, fly to the Wilderness areas and Go Scouting. Once you have acquired the necessary amount, head on back to Iridessa and give them to her.

Step 5

Iridessa: "Excellent! Well, here’s your last lesson. It’s about sore eyes again. It doesn’t just happen when sparkles are too bright."
"Sometimes when Fairies bring spring to the mainland, light-talents and non-light-talents alike get sore eyes. Springtime light can be really bright!"
"So we bring a supply of Eye Ease Goggles along. They’re regular Gadgety Goggles with Eye Ease lotion on the lenses."
"I want you to go get a pair of Gadgety Goggles at Gale’s Outfitters. They can easily be turned into Eye Ease Goggles for next spring!"

Fly to Gale's Outfitters in Snowcap Glade and get a pair of Gadgety Goggles. Bring them to Iridessa's Glade in Sunflower Gully when you are done!

Iridessa is teaching you your fifth Talent Skill, Heal. Show her that you understand the importance of Eye Ease Goggles by getting a pair of Gadgety Goggles at Gale’s Outfitters!

Time to go shopping! Fly over to Snowcap Glade and enter Gale's Outfitters. Purchase a pair of Gadgety Goggles, return to Iridessa and give them to her.

Your Reward

Iridessa: "Wow! You’ve done it, sunshine -- you’ve earned your fifth Talent Skill, HEAL! Congratulations!"
"Be sure to practice ALL your Talent Skills in the Wilderness, okay? Have a shimmerific day!"

You will now be able to perform the Talent Skill Heal in all Wilderness areas of Pixie Hollow.
