Guide to VMKForums

Introduction

This is a Guide to VMKForums compiled by Becky, a VMKForums member.

Toolbar

This is the toolbar located at the top of every page on VMKForums.

Home

The home button let's you visit the main page of the VMKForums homepage. You will find various statistics there, including online members, last five threads posted on, News Articles, and more.

Forums

Whenever you want to go into "forum view", just click the "Forums" button that is highlighted in red.

Gallery

The gallery button takes you to gallery where users can upload photos (granted they follow the Site Guidelines), view others photos, and more.

Arcade

The arcade on VMKForums is a section where you can play various mini-games including classics like Tetris, Asteroids, and more.

UserCP

This button will take you to your User Control Panel (as long as you're logged into your member name). You can change many things regarding your profile, user options, group memberships, etc.

Register

If you're new to VMKForums and wish to become a member, click this button. From there, you'll register for membership to VMKForums. Note: Once you have registered, there is a process you must go through in which you'll be under moderation by the VMKForums moderators for three weeks until you are approved to post and do everything a normal member does. Of course, you might not be approved.

Members

The member toolbar button goes to the VMKForums list of registered users.

FAQ

The FAQ, also known as Frequently Asked Questions, will help answer some questions about VMKForums that a user might have.

Search

The search button lets you search for certain threads, posts, and more.

The view of the statistics

What's Going On?

This section's sections tell you about different statistics.

Currently Active Users

The currently active users tells you everyone who is online at that moment. Regular members are in black text, hall of fame users are in light blue, mini-moderators are in red, normal moderators are in pink, super moderators are in bolded pink, admins are in bolded italicized pink, and trivia winners are usually in a purple or green color. Note: See Forum Leaders for more information on each moderator's username color.

VMKForums Fansite Statistics

This tells you the current number of threads, posts, and members on VMKForums as well as the newest member to register.

Today's Birthdays

The today's birthdays section tells you everyone that is having a birthday that day (as long as they have opted to display their birthday on their profile). It will display the age someone is turning if that person has also enabled their birth year to be shown in their profile.

Today's Events

This section tells you all the events written on the calendar for that day.

User CP

Introduction

The User Control Panel, better abbreviated User CP, is any registered member's own Control Panel. One can edit their various site preferences, and many other options.
