TODO: We need the quest imbetween the first one, and Go See Bingham quest, it's the one where you bribe Bingham with gold. We also need the quest after you plunder 6 chickens from a boat, you go to june, she gives you eggs to deliver to the navy sholdier. We need that quest pic: delivering eggs to the navy guy. We also need the quest where you visit Blakely to tell him that June said he can be freed. --CL_Haveamagicladay

Sub Sections Limit

I was working on the quests for the Gordon Greer Quest. In the game it has tabs off from other quests, and I got to the point where two quests I had to put 7 "=" in, and it doesn't indent anymore, it stays at 6, and doesn't indent in the contents. Is there anything we, can do to fix this? --CL_Haveamagicalday

Does the text need to be any smaller? It's smaller than normal text! --Scootz 18:43, 30 November 2007 (CST) (Talk | contribs)

Once you put 6 "=" in, it makes it that small, sadly. That's probably why you can't put 7. --CL_Haveamagicalday

Scootz is right though. I understand the fact that it is a tab off from the last quest, but there are so many sub-quests in the Gordon Greer quest that the print would be even smaller than that to show every task. -- BadgerDog

I do not know of any way to make the subsections even more nested. I think this indicates that you need to re-think how you want these quest pages to look. Some things to think about, for example:

  • Do you need every sub-quest on a page of its own to include?
  • Should you be including them in some nested way?
  • Do you need each small task on the main quests page, or does it make sense to go to another page for some of these (where the subheadings will be ok)?
  • Do you actually need each step to have its own subheader and presense in the TOC, or can you use a numbered list or something?

Well priz, I was thinking that it should be all one page because, it's all one big quest. The sub sections are needed because it shows what it tags off from. Each small task is needed for reference, to make the wiki more organized, and more efficient. Scootz posted on VMKF that he tested something, which worked! I didn't know you could use only one "=" which helped greatly. I don't it will be a problem now. But, I thought weeks over how to set this up, and the only good way I can think of is this. The wiki needs to be efficient, so if we can put it as closely to the game as possible, but still help out the people who read it. The more info we can put on it, the better for our readers. That's why I think the ideas you put there, wouldn't really work, because I thought of some of them as well. This quest, Gordon Greer Quest, is one of the biggest quests that you'll see, so if we can get this to work out, we can get the rest easy. --CL_Haveamagicalday
