Quick Quest Guide
This Quest has 9 steps.What you will need: 20 Sunflower Seeds, 25 Buttercup Petals, 10 Lily Petals and 38 Oak Leaves (to buy Gadgety Goggles).
You will also need 1 Bottle of pink dye for personal tailoring: you may choose one of any of the following -- Daisy Pink Dye (cost is 39 Daisy Petals) from Daisy's Dyes located in Cherryblossom Heights; Raspberry Pink Dye (cost is 26 Raspberries) from Prism's Paints located in Pumpkin Patch; or Camellia Pink Dye (cost is 49 Honeycombs) from Sunny's Shades located in Neverfruit Grove.
Quick Steps
- Go to Rosetta's Garden and ask if she has any quests. Pick Flapping Contest.
- Earn a score of 10,000 points on Snowflake Sweep, then return to Rosetta.
- Fly to Bobbin's Tailoring Nook in Springtime Orchard and Personal Tailor a pink Ivy Top, then return to Rosetta.
- Gather 20 Sunflower Seeds and give them to Rosetta.
- Gather 25 Buttercup Petals and give them to Rosetta.
- Go to Gale's Outfitters in Snowcap Glade and buy a pair of Gadgety Goggles (any color) for Rosetta.
- Head on over to Silvermist's Grotto in Dewdrop Vale and talk to Silvermist.
- Gather 10 Lily Petals and give them to Silvermist.
- Earn a score of 10,000 points on Water Web, then return to Silvermist.
- Return to Rosetta.
- Pick your reward and the quest is over.
In Depth Quest Guide
This is a full walk through for the quest, so if you're confused by any of the quick steps, hopefully these can help you out.
Head over to Rosetta's Garden in Cherryblossom Heights and ask her if she has any quests. If you have finished the quest Staring Contest, the quest should appear in the list of quests you may do and you can begin the quest immediately. Upon starting the quest, Rosetta will greet you:
Rosetta: "Guess what, Fairyname Here? After all your hard work coaching me for the starin' contest -- I DIDN'T WIN! Can you believe it? Lily won."
"Of course, Lily can out-stare an oak tree, so I suppose she deserved to win. So you know what I did? I challenged her and Sprout and Blossom to another contest -- a flappin' contest!"
"You don't know about Pollen Flappin', do ya? Okay, one of the things we garden-talents do is spread pollen where it's needed. We do that by Pollen Flappin'."
"It's a special sort of flying where we flap our wings real hard but don't go anywhere -- we just spread pollen around."
"If I'm gonna win this contest, I need some serious Flap Training. I'd like you to be my coach again, only this time, you'll be a Flap Coach! How about it, sugar?"
Step 1
Accept this Quest?Once you agree, Rosetta is thrilled and gives you the first step.
Rosetta: "Oh, goody! I knew I could count on you!"
"The first thing to do is fly against a real tricky wind. That's a guaranteed wing strengthening exercise!"
"I think I should try Blustery Brush. The wind is always a bit fiddly up there. We can catch a few Snowflakes, too!"
"Little beauty secret -- Snowflakes are amazing for gettin' rid of unsightly wrinkles! You go on and fly to Blustery Brush to scout things out. I'll come along when you're done."
Fly to Evergreen Overlook. Earn 10,000 points playing Snowflake Sweep in Blustery Brush. Return to Rosetta's Garden in Cherryblossom Heights when you are done!

Story So Far
Rosetta is training for a Flapping Contest, which means she needs to exercise her wings. As her Flap Coach, it's your job to help! First exercise: challenge the winds up in Blustery Brush.
Play Snowflake Sweep in Evergreen Overlook. Once you reach a score of 10,000 points (whether in one shot or cumulative), quit the game or play until you finish then return to Rosetta.
Step 2
I need to see Rosetta!Rosetta: "Phew! That was some workout, sugarplum! My wings need a good rest! While I relax a bit, can I ask a favor?"
"For the contest, I want to wear a top that will let my wings move as quick as possible."
"You know the Ivy Tops over at Bobbin's Tailoring Nook? That's just what I'm lookin' for. Would you make me one, sugar? How about makin' it pink?"
Fly to Bobbin's Tailoring Nook in Springtime Orchard. Use Personal Tailoring to make an Ivy Top with your choice of pink dye. Fly to Rosetta's Garden in Cherryblossom Heights and give this item to Rosetta when you are done!

Story So Far
Rosetta is training for a Flapping Contest. As her Flap Coach, it's your job to help! You're going to tailor her a top that will let her wings move quickly.
The first thing you need to do for this step of the quest is to see if you own a bottle of pink dye. If not, purchase one from one of the Dye Shops (see What you will need section above for more information). When you have your bottle of dye, head over to Bobbin's Tailoring Nook located in Springtime Orchard. Now you need to make sure you have the Ivy Top Pattern available and completed. You must complete the Oak Top Pattern first to open the Ivy Top. Once you have the pattern completed, choose Personal Tailoring and select Ivy Top from the list. Be sure to use your Pink Dye! When you are finished tailoring the top, fly back to Rosetta.
Step 3
I made an Ivy Top for Rosetta!Rosetta: "My, that's pretty! And it's perfect for strong wing work. Thanks, sweet pea!"
"Well, my wings feel rested, so it's time for another exercise. If I can flap my wings hard enough to make something light, say a Sunflower Seed, float up Havendish Stream..."
"...well, that would sure be a workout! Could you go find me a few Sunflower Seeds?"
Gather 20 Sunflower Seeds and bring them to Rosetta's Garden in Cherryblossom Heights.

Story So Far
Rosetta is training for a Flapping Contest. As her Flap Coach, it's your job to help! For her next exercise, you're getting her some Sunflower Seeds.
It’s time to gather up some Sunflower Seeds now, if you don’t have 20 already. Once you get the required 20 Sunflower Seeds, return to Rosetta and give them to her.

I have Sunflower Seeds for Rosetta!Rosetta: "Those will work great! Thanks, sugar!"
"I'll head to Havendish Stream right away. While I'm flappin’, can you get my next exercise ready?"
"I asked Vidia if I could borrow her Palm Frond Fan. You start it up with just a bit of pixie dust, and the palm fronds spin and make a good, strong wind. I can work my wings flappin' against it!"
"But Vidia is Vidia -- she wants a big bunch of Buttercup Petals first. I've got NO idea what for, she wouldn't tell me."
"Anyhow, can you go find them?"
Gather 25 Buttercup Petals and bring them to Rosetta's Garden in Cherryblossom Heights.

Story So Far
Rosetta is training for a Flapping Contest. As her Flap Coach, it's your job to help! Gather Buttercup Petals so that Vidia will let Rosetta borrow her Palm Frond Fan.
More ingredient collecting to do! This time you are looking for Buttercup Petals, if you don’t have 25 already. Once you get the required 25 Buttercup Petals, return to Rosetta and give them to her.
Step 5
I have the Buttercup Petals!Rosetta: "Moon and stars, I flapped those Sunflower Seeds all the way upstream to the Pixie Dust Tree! Pretty good, don't ya think?"
"Thanks for gettin' these Buttercup Petals. I hope Vidia appreciates 'em. I'll go get her fan right away and then do a little more flappin'."
"In the meantime, will you go to Gale's Outfitters in Snowcap Glade and buy me a pair of goggles? I need to wear 'em during the contest or I won't see a thing in all that pollen dust!"
Fly to Gale's Outfitters in Snowcap Glade and get a pair of Gadgety Goggles. Bring them to Rosetta's Garden in Cherryblossom Heights when you are done!

Story So Far
Rosetta is training for a Flapping Contest. As her Flap Coach, it's your job to help! She's asked you to go to Gale’s Outfitters and buy her a pair of goggles.
Go to Gale's Outfitters in Snowcap Glade and buy a pair of Gadgety Goggles, which cost 38 Oak Leaves. Once you buy them return to Rosetta, and give her the goggles.
Step 6
I bought goggles for Rosetta!Rosetta: "Those are terrific, sugarplum. I'm gonna look a little like Bobble now!"
"Well, it's time for the contest! The pollen's gonna start flyin' thick as dust in a dust storm. Anybody watchin' might just sneeze their wings off!"
"You might want to say here, sugar. Wish me luck! I'll let you know how I do!"
"Oh, wait! How about you visit Silvermist and see if she has any Wing Relaxer. When the contest is over, I'm gonna need it!"
Fly to Silvermist's Grotto! You can get there from Dewdrop Vale.
Story So Far
It's time for Rosetta's Flapping Contest. While she competes, she asked you to visit Silvermist and borrow some Wing Relaxer,
Flit to Silvermist's Grotto in Dewdrop Vale and talk to Sil about wing relaxer.
Step 7
I’m going to visit Silvermist!Silvermist: "Hi, raindrop! I heard you're Rosetta's Flap Coach. Hee hee! I knew she wouldn't sit still after Lily won the Staring Contest. So how can I help?"
"Of course she can have some Wing Relaxer. In fact, if you can help, I'll make her a whole batch! She'll need it, all right."
"Wing Relaxer is like water but there's no water in it. The last thing we want are wet wings, right? I use a pinch of pixie dust to combine the ESSENCE of water with soothing Lily Petals."
"Oh, mud puddles! I don't have any Lily Petals! Could you get me some?"
Gather 10 Lily Petals and bring them to Silvermist's Grotto in Dewdrop Vale.

Story So Far
Rosetta is competing in a Flapping Contest. While she's there, you're helping Silvermist make some Wing Relaxer to soothe Rosetta's wings afterwards. You need to gather Lily Petals for the Wing Relaxer.
Your last ingredient collecting task! Go gather up some Lily Petals now, if you don’t have 10 already. Once you get the required 10 Lily Petals, return to Silvermist and give them to her.

I have Lily Petals for Silvermist!Silvermist: "*SNIFF SNIFF*"
"No, I'm not crying, I'm smelling the Lily Petals. Mmm, I love that smell! Anyhow, we need dewdrops next."
"*SNIFF SNIFF*"
"Meet me in Spider Silk Grotto. We can get dewdrops off the spider webs!"
Fly to Neverberry Thicket. Earn 10,000 points playing Water Web in Spider Silk Grotto. Return to Silvermist's Grotto in Dewdrop Vale when you are done!

Story So Far
Rosetta is competing in a Flapping Contest. While she's there, you're helping Silvermist make some Wing Relaxer to soothe Rosetta's wings afterwards. You need to get some dewdrops for the Wing Relaxer.
Your next task is a talent game. Fly up to Neverberry Thicket to play Water Web. Once you reach a score of 10,000 points (whether in one shot or cumulative), quit the game or play until you finish then return to Silvermist.
Step 9
I have dewdrops for Silvermist!Silvermist: "Just the right amount! Great! Give me a minute..."
"I just need a pinch of pixie dust and..."
"There! Half a chestnut shell full of Wing Relaxer! Looks like water, doesn't it? But it's not, I promise!"
"All Rosetta needs to do is sprinkle a little on her wings."
Fly to Rosetta's Garden! You can get there from Cherryblossom Heights.
Story So Far
Rosetta is competing in a Flapping Contest. You just helped Silvermist make her some Wing Relaxer to soothe her wings afterwards. Now you need to deliver it to Rosetta's Garden.
The last thing you need to do is flap back to Rosetta's Garden to give her the wing relaxer and finish the quest.

I have Wing Relaxer for Rosetta!Rosetta: "Fairyname Here, I won I won I won! Oh, I'm so happy I could hug a thorn bush!"
"Lily came in a strong second, then Blossom and then Sprout. And lemme tell ya, I saw that look in Lily's eye... I just KNOW she's gonna challenge me to somethin' else."
"Till then, thanks a bunch for helpin' me! Here, I want you to have this, sugar. You've certainly earned it!"
"I hope it keeps you warm next time you're playing Snowflake Sweep!"
