Quick Quest Guide
This Quest has 8 steps.What you will need: 10 Meadow Grass, 15 Dandelion Fluff, 5 Lily Petals and 22 Snowflakes
Quick Steps
- Go to Fawn's Hideout and ask if she has any quests. Pick A Crack in the Old Shell.
- Go to Silvermist's Grotto in Dewdrop Vale to visit Silvermist.
- Gather 10 Meadow Grass and give them to Silvermist.
- Return to Fawn.
- Gather 15 Dandelion Fluff and give them to Fawn.
- Earn a score of 10,000 points on Harvest Hustle, return to Fawn.
- Gather 5 Lily Petals and give them to Fawn.
- Gather 22 Snowflakes and give them to Fawn.
- Practice Tailor any belt or sash in any color and return to Fawn.
- Pick your reward and the quest is over.
In Depth Quest Guide
This is a full walk through for the quest, so if you're confused by any of the quick steps, hopefully these can help you out.
Head over to Fawn's Hideout in Maple Tree Hill and ask her if she has any quests. If you have finished the quest Warm for the Winter, the quest should appear in the list of quests you may do and you may begin immediately. Upon starting the quest, Fawn will greet you:
Fawn: "Hey, Pixie Name Here! Where are you?"
"Oh! There you are, flying right in front of me! Jumping jackrabbits, I've been so busy I can't see straight."
"I've got an injured turtle on my hands. It's Old Shellback. Poor guy slipped off a rock and cracked his shell. Will you help me fix him up?"
Step 1
Accept this Quest?Once you agree, Fawn is thrilled and gives you the first step.
Fawn: "Thanks a bunch! I'm off to get a walnut bin. We'll use it to mix up a big batch of Shell Mend!"
"Why don't you go see Silvermist? She's watching Old Shellback while he waits for the Shell Mend."
Fly to Silvermist's Grotto! You can get there from Dewdrop Vale.
Story So Far
Fawn needs to repair Old Shellback's shell. Help her by visiting Silvermist!
Go to Silvermist's Grotto in Dewdrop Vale and visit Silvermist.
Step 2
I’m here to see Silvermist!Silvermist: "Fly with you, raindrop. Are you here to help with Old Shellback? You are? Ripple-rific!"
"Can you maybe go get some Meadow Grass? Old Shellback looks hungry. I bet a snack will make him feel better while we wait for Fawn."
Gather 10 Meadow Grass and bring them to Silvermist's Grotto in Dewdrop Vale.

Fawn needs to repair Old Shellback's shell. Help out by gathering Meadow Grass!
It’s time to gather up some Meadow Grass, if you don’t have 10 already. Once you get the required 10 Meadow Grass, return to Silvermist and give them to her.
Step 3
I have Meadow Grass for Old Shellback!Silvermist: "Splashtacular, Pixie Name Here!"
"Hey, Old Shellback -- want a snack? Wow, look at him gobble that Meadow Grass down! I guess he was hungrier than I thought."
"I don't know what's keeping Fawn. Will you fly to her hideout and see if she’s there making the Shell Mend?"
Fly to Fawn's Hideout! You can get there from Maple Tree Hill.

Head back to Fawn's Hideout and ask Fawn about the Shell Mend.

"Can you help out and get me some Dandelion Fluff?"
Gather 15 Dandelion Fluff and bring them to Fawn's Hideout in Maple Tree Hill.

Collect some more ingredients! This time you are looking for Dandelion Fluff, if you don’t have 15 already. Once you have the 15 Dandelion Fluff needed, give them to Fawn.
Step 5
I have Dandelion Fluff for Fawn!Fawn: "Thanks, chickadee! Now I need corn kernels. I know! Let’s go get some by playing Harvest Hustle!"
"I'll meet you there. The entrance is in Pumpkin Patch!"
Fly to Pumpkin Patch. Earn 10,000 points playing Harvest Hustle. Return to Fawn's Hideout in Maple Tree Hill when you are done!

Fawn needs to repair Old Shellback’s shell. Help by playing Harvest Hustle!
Play Harvest Hustle in Pumpkin Patch. Once you reach a score of 10,000 points (whether in one shot or cumulative), quit the game or play until you finish then return to Fawn.

"We need melted Snowflakes so we can mix up the other Shell Mend ingredients. Can you flit out and gather some Snowflakes?"
Gather 22 Snowflakes and bring them to Fawn's Hideout in Maple Tree Hill.

This is the last ingredient collecting task! This time you are looking for Snowflakes, if you don’t have 22 already. Once you get the required 22 Snowflakes, return to Fawn and give them to her.

Step 8
I have Snowflakes for Fawn!Fawn: "Critterific! It’s MIXING TIME!"
"Wow, this stuff is thick! But that’s good, it’s supposed to be thick!"
"It’s ready! But I need one last thing. See, Old Shellback is a sensitive guy. He's gonna be embarrassed swimming around with a patched shell."
"But what if we make him something to cover it up, like a belt or sash? Go visit Mendy's Tailoring Nook and make one for him. You pick the color!"
Fly to Mendy's Tailoring Nook in Maple Tree Hill. Use Practice Tailoring to make any belt or sash using any color dye. Return to Fawn's Hideout in Maple Tree Hill when you are done!

Story So Far
You helped Fawn make Shell Mend to repair Old Shellback’s shell. Now help cover the old turtle’s patch by making any belt or sash for him at Mendy's Tailoring Nook!
Leave Fawn’s and fly across to Mendy's Tailoring Nook. Choose Practice Tailoring and select any belt or sash from the list that you like. You may tailor the belt or sash in any color you wish. Return to Fawn when you are done.
