In Depth Quest Guide

This is a full walk through for the quest, so if you're confused by any of the quick steps, hopefully these can help you out.

Head over to Fawn's Hideout in Maple Tree Hill and ask her if she has any quests. If you have finished the quest Warm for the Winter, the quest should appear in the list of quests you may do and you may begin immediately. Upon starting the quest, Fawn will greet you:

Fawn: "Hey, Fairyname Here! Where are you?"
"Oh! There you are, flying right in front of me! Jumpin' jackrabbits, I've been so busy I can't see straight."
"I've got an injured turtle on my hands. It's Ol' Shellback. Poor guy slipped off a rock and cracked his shell. Will you help me fix him up?"

Step 1

Accept this Quest?

Once you agree, Fawn is thrilled and gives you the first step.

Fawn: "Thanks a bunch! I'm off to get half a coconut shell. We'll use it to mix up a big batch of Shell Mend!"
"Why don't you go see Silvermist? She's watching Ol' Shellback while he waits for the Shell Mend."

Fly to Silvermist's Grotto! You can get there from Dewdrop Vale.

Story So Far

Fawn needs help repairing Ol' Shellbacks's shell. Silvermist is watching the turtle while some Shell Mend is being made. Go visit Silvermist's Grotto and help her tend to Ol' Shellback.

Go to Silvermist's Grotto in Dewdrop Vale and visit Silvermist.

Step 2

I’m here to see Silvermist!

Silvermist: "Hi, Fairyname Here. Are you here to help with Ol' Shellback?"
"That's great!"
"Can you go to Springtime Orchard and get some Meadow Grass? Ol' Shellback looks hungry. I bet a snack will make him feel better while we wait for Fawn."

Gather 10 Meadow Grass and bring them to Silvermist's Grotto in Dewdrop Vale.

Silvermist: "Oh, thanks!"
"Hey, Ol' Shellback -- want a snack?"
"Wow, look at him gobble that Meadow Grass down! I guess he was hungrier than I thought."
"I don't know what's keeping Fawn. Will you go check on her?"

Fly to Fawn's Hideout! You can get there from Maple Tree Hill.

Fawn: "That's it then! I just need to mix this up..."
"Perfect! The Shell Mend is ready."
"But I need one more thing. This is sort of a goofy request..."
"See, Ol' Shellback is pretty sensitive. He's going to be sort of embarrassed swimming around Havendish Stream with a patched shell. But I was thinking..."
"...what if we give him something fashionable to cover it up a little? Like a belt or something?"
"Would you go visit Mendy's Tailoring Nook and make a belt for him? Pick out a color that would look great with his dark green shell."

Fly to Mendy's Tailoring Nook in Maple Tree Hill and Community Tailor to make a Grassweave Belt. Return to Fawn's Hideout in Maple Tree Hill when you’re done!
Progress: 0 of 1

Leave Fawn’s and fly across to Mendy's Tailoring Nook. Choose Community Tailoring and make a Grassweave Belt in any color. The pattern will automatically be available to you, as it is one of the first patterns you receive upon joining the Hollow. Return to Fawn when you are done.

Your Reward

I’ve got the Grassweave Belt!

Fawn: "Oh, this is perfect! Ol' Shellback will love it! Instead of a bandaged shell, he'll be the most stylish turtle in the stream!"
"I'll fly straight over to Silvermist with the Shell Mend and the belt. We'll have Ol' Shellback swimming again in no time!"
"Thanks so much, Fairyname Here. You're an amazing friend. Here's a little something for you..."
"I made it from the leftover supplies so I hope you like the color Corn Cob Yellow!"

You'll receive a Triple Blossom Anklet Corn Cob Yellow as shown below. You also unlock the following quest upon completion: No-Fire Flies.
