VMK Communicator is a program for Windows that provides a desktop-based display of the latest VMK newsletter, and calendar. It also gives you screensavers and wallpapers you can download to your computer. The VMK Communicator loads the newsletter articles and latest calendar when started, and keeps them updated while left running, and provides a convenient and quick location to access this information.

Parts of the VMK Communicator

All of these are located on the bottom of the VMK Communicator, and are listed here from left to right of the VMK Communicator.

CALENDAR

The calendar shows you all of the HOST_ events that will be happening this month (and sometimes the next few days of the next month). (On the top of the calendar, it shows DATE EVENT, TIME, and, LOCATION (ROOM), this list will go from left to right.

DATE

This shows the dates of every day of this month, starting from the current day, down to the last day of the month (and sometimes a few days of the next month). The days, sometimes, appear two or more times, that's ok because, there are more than one event for that day. Once the days appear, you can then look over to EVENT, to see what the event is called.

EVENT

The event shows what the name of the room is called. For info on the TIME, look down.

TIME

The TIME shows you on the day, what time the event/s are taking place. All time is put at Pacific Standard Time. Almost all HOST_ events last three hours. To find what HOST_ is hosting the event/s. You look over from the TIME to the LOCATION.

Location (ROOM)

The location tells you who's hosting the event. Even though it says HOST_ (then the rest of the HOST_'s title), then Room, it doesn't always mean it's in that room, sometimes HOST_ go to other players rooms and give out rewards, or tips, and sometimes reminders on how to play safe, and have fun. Usually once a weak, in this section, you'll see instead of a HOST_ you might see "Makeover Madnesshits VMK!" This is when a HOST_ goes to a room, and gives a person a free room makeover! Information On The HOST_ Event

If you want to know more about what event is going on, you can put your mouse over the date, or event you want to know about, and it will give you a brief description on what's going on. But note, if it's not this month you're looking for, you'll probably get, "Details coming soon!" Usually by the next month, it will have information on it.

HOST_ that have been seen doing events are:

• HOST_Hula (one of three main HOST_ that usually do HOST_ events)
• HOST_Lily (one of three main HOST_ that usually do HOST_ events)
• HOST_Phinny (one of three main HOST_ that usually do HOST_ events)
• HOST_Sparky (he's been known to do maze events, and a race game.)

NEWSLETTER

The newsletter shows news on what's happening in VMK. There's different parts of the newsletter, to make it easier to find out what you want. They are located on the left of the window. All of this info, if you don't want to download the VMK Communicator, is located on the newsletter section of the VMK home page.

Top Players

This shows you who won best guest, best quest, or best game, this weak. It's usually updated every Monday. You can scroll down, to see pictures, and a brief description on the room.

Event Info

This section usually tells you the main event happening in vmk, and gives you description on the big things happing on the main event.

Push Trivia

This shows you this weeks Push Trash Trivia, and the winners of last weeks. It will show you the question, usually a picture, tells you how to put in your answer, and tells you what last week winner wins (Currently a Push's Trivia Pin).

Scam Alert

This section gives you tips on showing when somebody might be trying to cheat you into your items, or breaking the VMK Values. They give you some of the ways people try to do that, so you're aware of them and don't fall for it.

Safety Corner

This is similar to Scam Alert, but it gives you tips on how to have fun, but being safe at the same time. It's very useful to read this, so you know what to do and what not to do.

Dateline Disney

This gives you the brief history of Disney. This is useful if you want to know the progress of Disney.

VMK @ WDW

This tells you that VMK Central at Walt Disney World (WDW) is closed, and why it closed, and reasons not to get upset, and or, mad at VMK Staff, or Disney staff, they have reasons that they closed it.

Yavn Speaks

This is probably the most viewed section of the NEWSLETTER. IT tells you by Yavn (one of the VMK Producers, and most noticeable), what changes, or what's being added, or the future of VMK. This list is updated at any time, so keep your eyes open, so you know what's happening in VMK!

Yeti's Tips & Tricks

This is a very useful tool to help you enjoy even more of VMK. Your can ask questions that you have about something in VMK, or Disney related (that links to VMK). To ask your question, you must use the Contact Us, at the bottom of the VMK home page. For click here for more info on the tool Contact Us. Then "Mr.Yeti" might answer your question, and put it on the list of Yeti's Tips & Tricks! The list of tips, are updated, so not all of the tips asked will stay forever, so keep your eyes on that time to time.

Quests

This tells you the current quests that are available at Walt Disney World (WDW) and/or Disneyland (DLR). Even though both VMK Centrals are closed at WDW and DLR, there can still be quests you can do! So read this to find out the current quests available!

Top 5 FAQs

This shows the top 5 questions people ask inside the kingdom, or to staff. They will put a reason or answer to the question. So keep your eyes on this page and your question might be answered!

Trading Card 101

This shows you one of the newest things the VMK Team has created, VMK Trading Card Game! Read this to find out more about it!

Screensavers

VMK has now made screensavers for your own computer! These screensavers you must download onto your computer. The screensavers are VMK related. To download them, click on the one you want to download, and go from there.

Wall Papers

VMK has now made wall papers for your computer. You must download them onto your computer. They are all VMK related. Click on the one/s you want to download, and go from there.

H

The "H" button is to close the VMK Communicator.

S

The "S" button is the settings button.

SETTINGS

Run VMK Communicator on Startup

If you want the VMK Communicator to run as soon as you start up your computer check the ON box. If you don't want it to, check the OFF box.

VMK Communicator Always On Top

This setting is if you want the VMK Communicator to appear on top of any window you have open. If you want that, check the ON box. If you don't want this, check the OFF box.

GET LATEST

If you had the VMK Communicator open for a while, and you want to know if there's updates on any place of the VMK Communicator, click on this. It will then update the VMK Communicator to the latest updates. This runs every time you open your VMK Communicator.

CONNECTION SETTINGS

This option shows how you want your VMK Communicator runs. For more info, click on it.

ABOUT

Having problems, or are you confused on the VMK Communicator, click this, and it will give you some help on the VMK Communicator.

UNINSTALL

If, at any time, you do not want the VMK Communicator, you can click this to uninstall it from your communicator. Note, if you do this, you'll need to download it again to be able to use it.

Calendar Alert

If you want to be alerted on changes on the CALENDAR section, check the ON box. If you don't want to be alerted, check the OFF box.

When on, the following alert will pop-up to notify you about changes:

Wallpaper Alert

If you want to be alerted on changes on the WALLPAPERS section, check the ON box. If you don't want to be alerted, check the OFF box.

When on, the following alert will pop-up to notify you about changes:

Newsletter Alert

If you want to be alerted on changes to the NEWSLETTER section, check the ON box. If you don't want to be alerted, check the OFF box.

When on, the following alert will pop-up to notify you about changes:

ScreenSaver Alert

If you want to be alerted on changes to the SCREENSAVERS section, check the ON box. If you don't want to be alerted, check the OFF box.

The "H" key, inside the "S" (Settings) section, closes the settings page of the VMK Communicator, and brings you the the CALENDAR section.
