Quick Steps

In Depth Quest Guide

This is a full walk through for the quest, so if you're confused by any of the quick steps, hopefully these can help you out.

Head over to Iridessa's Glade in Sunflower Gully and ask her if she has any quests. The quest should pop up immediately and you'll be able to begin. Upon starting the quest, Iridessa will greet you:

Iridessa: "Fairyname Here, have you heard? Queen Clarion just announced that it’s time to work on the Northern Lights!"
"The Northern Lights are a gift we Fairies created for the mainland long ago. They’re way up north, and they fill the whole night sky with shimmering light!"
"The shapes always change, and the colors -- reds, greens, blues -- they change, too. It’s all so magical!"
"Every few seasons we visit them and see what they need to keep shining bright in the mainland sky. Want to help me get ready?"

Step 1

Accept this Quest?

Once you agree, Iridessa is thrilled and gives you the first step.

Iridessa: "Glimmerific! Now, each talent guild is in charge of different Northern Light jobs. We light-talents always give them a light-energy boost!"
"To do that, I’m going to make light pods! Those are seed pods full of different kinds of extra-bright light -- and a dash of pixie dust, of course."
"Will you go see Rosetta and get the seed pods?"

Fly to Rosetta's Garden! You can get there from Cherryblossom Heights.

Story So Far

You’re helping Iridessa with the Northern Lights. Visit Rosetta to get seed pods!

Your first task is to visit Rosetta. Fly up to her Garden located in Cherryblossom Heights and ask her about seed pods.

Step 2

I’m here to see Rosetta!

Rosetta: "Sugarplum! Have you come to help me trim the grass? I think I stared at it too long yesterday, an’ now it’s grown as tall as a badger’s back!"
"Oh, I see -- you’re helpin’ with the Northern Lights. That means Iridessa needs the seed pods I collected for her!"
"Let’s see. Peach pits? Nope. Rose hips? Don’t think so. Ah, here they are -- poppy pods an’ milkweed pods!"
"Here ya go, sugar!"

Fly to Iridessa's Glade! You can get there from Sunflower Gully.

Story So Far

You’re helping Iridessa with the Northern Lights. You got seed pods from Rosetta. Now take them to Iridessa.

Return to Iridessa's Glade and give her the seed pods.

Step 3

I have seed pods for Iridessa!

Iridessa: "Excellent! Now to gather all the different kinds of light to fill them up with!"
"Let’s start with fireworks sparkles. Can you get some by helping the Minister of Autumn in Sunset Grove?"

Fly to Acorn Summit. Earn 10,000 points playing Fairy Fireworks in Sunset Grove. Return to Iridessa's Glade in Sunflower Gully when you are done!
Progress: # of 10,000

Story So Far

You’re helping Iridessa with the Northern Lights. Get fireworks sparkles by helping the Minister of Autumn in Sunset Grove!

Talent game time! Play Fairy Fireworks in Acorn Summit. Once you reach the score of 10,000 points (whether in one shot or cumulative), quit the game or play until you finish then return to Dessa.

Step 4

I have fireworks sparkles for Iridessa!

Iridessa: "Ooo, I can just FEEL that bright energy that only fireworks sparkles have! Perfect! I’ll put these sparkles into the light pods."
"While I do that, can you fly to The Never Mine and find Blue Gems? They give the Northern Lights that glittery look only gems can give."

Fly to Chilly Falls and enter the Never Mine Wilderness. Find 10 Blue Gems. Return to Iridessa's Glade in Sunflower Gully when you are done!
Progress: # of 10

Story So Far

You’re helping Iridessa with the Northern Lights. Fly to the Never Mine and find Blue Gems!

This is an ingredient collecting task! You are searching for Blue Gems, if you don’t have 10 already. The only area in Pixie Hollow to get Blue Gems is The Never Mine. Make sure to bring enough cookies to renew your pixie dust if you have to enter the Mine to find the gems. Once you get the required 10 Blue Gems, return to Iridessa and give them to her.

Step 5

I have Blue Gems for Iridessa!

Iridessa: "Thanks, sunshine!"
"I’m still packing up the fireworks sparkles, so could you take the Blue Gems to Tinker Bell? She’ll know what to do."

Fly to Tinker's Nook! You can get there from Cottonpuff Field.

Story So Far

You’re helping Iridessa with the Northern Lights. Go visit Tinker Bell!

Flap over to Cottonpuff Field and enter Tinker's Nook. Talk to Tink!

Step 6

I’m here to see Tinker Bell!

Tinker Bell: "What’s flappin’, Fairyname here? Blue Gems? Oh, right! They’re for the Northern Lights! And that means I need to hammer them into powder!"
"It’s actually kinda fun."
"Okay... Careful..."
"WHACK-WHACK! POUND-POUND! WHAM!"
"Okay! Here’s one pouch full of Blue Gem powder. If Iridessa wants more, let me know!"

Fly to Iridessa's Glade! You can get there from Sunflower Gully.

Story So Far

You’re helping Iridessa with the Northern Lights. Take the Blue Gem powder to Iridessa!

Flit back to Iridessa's Glade in Sunflower Gully and deliver the Blue Gem powder to Dess.

Step 7

I have Blue Gem powder for Iridessa!

Iridessa: "I bet Tink had fun with that. I’ll put the powder into the poppy seed pods later. Right now we need moth wing dust!"
"The golden moths in Twilight Glen have an unusual dust on their wings that will add a soft glow to the Northern Light’s bright sparkles."
"Come on, let’s go light up fireflies and get the moth dust at the same time!"

Fly to Springtime Orchard. Earn 10,000 points playing Firefly Light-Up in Twilight Glen. Return to Iridessa's Glade in Sunflower Gully when you are done!
Progress: # of 10,000

Story So Far

You’re helping Iridessa with the Northern Lights. Go light up fireflies with her in Twilight Glen!

Another talent game! Play Firefly Light-Up in Springtime Orchard. Once you reach the score of 10,000 points (whether in one shot or cumulative), quit the game or play until you finish then return to Dessa.

Step 8

I lit up fireflies with Iridessa!

Iridessa: "Good job, sunshine! And we got just enough golden moth wing dust to give the Northern Lights a perfect glow!"
"Next I need to make twinkle pouches. Remember starshine twinkles?"
"Well, I caught more last night to mark the trail back to Never Land after we’re done working on the Northern Lights."
"I just need to make carry pouches for them. Can you get me Oak Leaves? I already have thread to sew them up."

Find 10 Oak Leaves. Return to Iridessa's Glade in Sunflower Gully when you are done!
Progress: # of 10

Story So Far

You’re helping Iridessa with the Northern Lights. Gather Oak Leaves!

Another ingredient collecting task! You need to gather up some Oak Leaves, if you don’t have 10 already. Once you get the required 10 Oak Leaves, return to Iridessa and give them to her.

Step 9

I have Oak Leaves for Iridessa!

Iridessa: "Great! I’ll paint these Oak Leaves with sparkle paint to make them twinkle-escape-proof and sew them. Then they’ll be ready to hold the twinkles!"
"Just one last thing to do. We need to find something to tie all the light pods closed after they’re filled."
"Can you find some Ivy? Ivy will work perfectly!"

Find 10 Ivy. Return to Iridessa's Glade in Sunflower Gully when you are done!
Progress: # of 10

You’re helping Iridessa with the Northern Lights. Gather Ivy!

Last task and it is more ingredient collecting! You need to search for Ivy this time, if you don’t have 10 already. Once you get the required 10 Ivy, return to Iridessa and give them to her.

Your Reward

I have Ivy for Iridessa!

Iridessa: "Shimmerific! Well, that’s it! Thanks for your help, sunshine. Here, I’d like you to have this. Rosetta made it out of a beautiful plant from the mainland."
"In fact, I think Rosetta could use your help with the garden-talents’ Northern Lights jobs. You should go visit her."
"Later, sunshine! Think shiny thoughts!"
