Quick Steps

In Depth Quest Guide

This is a full walk through for the quest, so if you're confused by any of the quick steps, hopefully these can help you out.

Head over to Rosetta's Garden in Cherryblossom Heights and ask her if she has any quests. If you have finished the quest Lumpy Trouble, the quest should appear in the list of quests you may do and you can begin immediately. Upon starting the quest, Rosetta will greet you:

Rosetta: "Well, hi there, sugar! Did you come to see my cuddle vines? They're just too much!"
"Oh, you're not here for that? Then maybe you can help me. I was just about to whip up a batch of Spring-Up Perfume."
"We garden-talents wear it while we're working and POOF! The flower seeds sprout nice and healthy! We wear it to the mainland to help the seeds there, too."
"Would you like to help me make it?"

Editor’s Note: The original text of this quest included this line of dialogue, which was removed.
"It's not just for wearin' -- I mix in a smidgen of pixie dust to help the sprouts along."

Step 1

Accept this Quest?

Once you agree, Rosetta is thrilled and gives you the first step.

Progress: # of 25

You are helping Rosetta make Spring-Up Perfume. Gather Honeycombs!

An ingredient collecting task! It’s time to gather up some Honeycombs now, if you don’t have 25 already. Once you get the required 25 Honeycombs, return to Rosetta and give them to her.

Editor’s Note: The original text of this quest included these lines of dialogue, which were removed.
"Peppermint gives the perfume a lift while Honeycomb keeps it sweet, you know. Try Palm Tree Cove or Sunflower Gully."

Step 4

I have Honeycombs for Rosetta!

Rosetta: "Thanks! The perfume is coming along nicely so far."

Fly to Rosetta's Garden! You can get there from Cherryblossom Heights.

"You should get this back to Rosetta quick!"

"I can't use them like a garden-talent can, but I still wear them. They smell so good!"

Step 6

I have a sunbeam for Rosetta!

Rosetta: "Oh, this part is so exciting! I'm not a light-talent, so I can't actually TOUCH sunbeams, but it's amazing to watch one melt into the perfume."
"Okay, here we go -- huh?! Where did my shoes go? Hey, you, give them back -- oh my -- !"
"One of my cuddle vines just pulled my shoes right off my feet! It's cuddling them so hard I can't get them back! Oh, that silly plant!"
"Will you make me another pair of shoes while I keep working on the perfume? Any style is fine, just dye them Crimson Red!"

Fly to Mendy's Tailoring Nook in Maple Tree Hill. Use Personal Tailoring to make any pair of shoes you choose. Use Crimson Red Dye from Daisy's Dyes in Cherryblossom Heights. Fly to Rosetta's Garden in Cherryblossom Heights and give this item to Rosetta when you are done!

If not, fly over to the other side of Cherryblossom Heights and purchase one from Daisy's Dyes. When you have your bottle of dye, fly up to Mendy's Tailoring Nook in Maple Tree Hill. Choose Personal Tailoring and make a pair of shoes. It doesn't matter which pair you make as long as you use your Crimson Red Dye. Make sure you have the ingredients required for the pattern you select. Once you finish tailoring, return to Rosetta.

Editor’s Note: The original text of this quest included these lines of dialogue, which were removed.

"Sufferin' seedlings, that's bright!"

Step 7

I tailored new shoes for Rosetta!

Rosetta: "These fit perfectly! Thanks so much, sweet beet!"
"Well, I’ve mixed the ingredients for the Spring-Up Perfume -- and it's GREEN, just like it always is."
"That’s cuz of the peppermint leaves. I ask you, who wants to wear perfume that makes you green? Nobody, that’s who!"
"I need you to flutter out and get me a bottle of Iris Purple Dye from Daisy's Dyes. Would you do that for me, sugar?"

Fly to Daisy's Dyes in Cherryblossom Heights and get a bottle of Iris Purple Dye. Bring it to Rosetta's Garden in Cherryblossom Heights when you are done!

Rosetta: "Thank goodness! Looking at green perfume makes my tummy flip around like a ladybug doing loop-the-loops!"
"I'll mix the whole bottle in. It takes a lot of dye to get rid of that peppermint green!"
"It's all done, sugar! Thanks tons for your help. I have a little something for you..."
"Here's some Mint Green Dye I made with the leftover peppermint. I hope you make something cute with it!"
