2005

24 May 2005 -

The weekend after opening, players were told to gather on Main Street and "parade" along its length. Some parade "leaders" were awarded the Dancing Inferno magic pin. Then a few staff members "hid" themselves in some rooms in the game, and the first people to find each of them were awarded prizes.

16-17 July 2005 -

Room decorating event - Players were told to decorate their rooms to be judged. On Saturday was the judging of the Celebration theme; players whose rooms were found to best commemorate Disneyland's 50th anniversary won prizes. Sunday featured judging of the Space theme, letting players decorate their interpretation of what "space" meant to them. Prizes were also given for answering trivia questions. (Some players did not receive a visit from judges; a number of these players were given an Invisibility magic pin as a consolation prize.)

19-21 August 2005 -

Pin-trading event - Rooms were judged based on a pin-trading theme, and prizes were awarded. The Lounging Lion pin along with many other pins were traded to players by staff members wearing Goofy hats who visited the trading rooms.

31 December 2005-2 January 2006 -

Cute or Boot the Bear Rug - Guests could purchase either the Bear Rug - CUTE or Bear Rug - BOOT shirts to vote for their support for public release of the Bear Rug. Players thought the rug was "cute" and these results were announced in the 3 January 2008 Newsletter.

2006

February 2006

Their was the first ever ride competition, based on the everest theme.

Players would join a team, and build the best ride they could. HOST_ and VMK_ staff judged the rides, and gave out prizes to the best rides.

12 March 2006-

Ride-A-Thon - Players rode on staff-made rides using the Expedition Everest and River Ride Tracks. Every time a player completed one of the rides, they were rewarded with an Expedition Everest Chair.

24-26 March 2006

Choose your Destiny - Players chose their paths in a series of staff rooms where you can choose to go left or right. Choose your Destiny On March 24, they gave out Purple Superhero Shirts. March 25th brought Purple Superhero Pants, and finally Supehero masks on march 26th. No matter what path you took, you always got a prize.

31 March-2 April 2006

Staff Room Competition - During this weekend, selected staff members created rooms based on the everest and Narnia theme. Players got to vote using the polls on the VMK home page. Each day there were 4 new rooms. For each room a player visited, they got 20 credits each time they rode.

1-2 July 2006

Slide-A-Thon - To unveil the new slide tracks and rooms, players rode on staff-made slides. Every time a player completed one of the rides, they were awarded a slide peice. On the 1st, people got the up-slide, and on the 2nd the down-slide.

3-5 November 2006

Space Ride-a-thon - Another ride track unveiling, this time the Space Mountain tracks and new gizmos.

2007

4 February 2007

VMK Football Maze Event - Mazes were set up in different football themed rooms by the staff of VMK. When a player completed the maze, they were awarded a Football Pin.

February Fun Days were announced by Yavn in the 5 February 2007 Newsletter
On Tuesdays, the Haunted Mansion Ghost Chasers game awarded 10 points per ghost caught, instead of its usual 5.
On Thursdays, the Castle Fireworks game awarded 1 credit for every 5 points scored, instead of 1 credit for every 10 points.

23-25 March 2007

Green Ride-a-thon - No new tracks unveiled, but a simple way to award 1000 credits a day to people.

May 2007

Pirate Fun Days was announced in the event section of the 7 May 2007 Newsletter.
On Thursdays, the Pirates of the Caribbean game awarded 200 points for winning the game instead of the usual 100.

23-24 June 2007

2nd Annual VMK Slide-a-Thon: introduced the Blizzard Beach Waterslide Start (Saturday) and the Typhoon Lagoon Waterslide Start (Sunday). When a player completed the water slide they were awarded the prize.

July 2007

Pirates of the Caribbean awarded 200 credits per win every Tuesday in a Summer Fun Days event.
Haunted Mansion Ghost Chasers awarded 10 credits per ghosts every Thursday in a Summer Fun Days event.

VMK's Presidential Quest!
Shrunken Ned's Shop has items at half price, plus a return of some retired items.
VMK is closed briefly mid-day to fix unspecified problems.
