Give Us a Room, You Get The Goods!
Our in-game Host select lucky players from VMK at random for a Room Makeover. The Host then remakes the room – for free – using items that are donated to the players and they get to keep!
We then post the results (including BEFORE and AFTER pics) along with tips you can use to make better rooms.

Underwater Tiki Hide Away
Thisisjesse was nominated for a room makeover by one of his very good friends. And by the looks of things, this room definitely needed some TLC! By the tiny collection of items in the corner, I thought that maybe thisisjesse would like a Tiki-styled room, perhaps with green as a main color theme!

As with all good room makeovers, I started from the ground up. After clearing the few remaining objects, I created two walls out of green Coffee Table Crates, each with three small peaks.
Then I alternated beige, blue, and green Bamboo Rugs across the floor. I could have used the red Bamboo Rugs as well but the color did not coordinate well with the rest of the items soon to go into the room.
Now for the fun part: decorating! Bamboo Room Dividers up against the crate walls added dimension while Parrot Palm Trees added height and vibrant color. On top of these specially designed walls, I alternated Karo Tiki Chairs, Tangaroa-Ru Tiki Idols, and Camp Fires to create the look of a guarded tiki garden.

This room is getting Tiki-er by the minute!
In the middle of the floor, I placed a Tiki Tiki Tiki Fountain on top of a pedestal made out of Typhoon Lagoon Palm Tops. Under those palms, there's a Water Carpet surrounded by ALR Grass SM Pink for a very lush, tropical atmosphere.
You can't have a hide-away with out some place for you and your guests to sit, so I surrounded two Madame Leota Tables with Barrel Seats that matched the color of the ALR Grass. A few more Tangaroa-Ru Tiki Idols and Palm tops near the bottom of the room added to the overall balance.
Finally, for the entryway, a blue Bamboo Rug and two Head Hunter's Island Torches were set up to greet all those who enter.
