AwesomeM's
Twilight Island!

Several of AwesomeM's friends nominated him for a VMK Room Makeover, so I headed into the Kingdom to check out his rooms. One friend in particular told us how much AwesomeM likes the new Peter Pan Ride items that were recently released during our Pirates of the Caribbean Online month – and this gave me the perfect inspiration to provide a fabulous VMK Makeover!

Hmmm... AwesomeM's rooms are nearly empty... Speaking of empty, this Empty Dark Ride Room is perfect for the PPR items. VMK's Imagineers used this type of room to build the Peter Pan's Flight dark ride in the Fantasyland Courtyard. So I cleared out the room. (Don't worry, AwesomeM, I put all of your Red Surprise Gifts in your Break Room!) Then I started laying down the base of the island.

Islands are never perfectly round, so I placed the PPR Small Islands to create an abstract shape. Amongst those little pieces of land, I found a home for more PPR Small Island 2's. These are much taller, create different levels and add depth and visual interest to the room. Our next step? Tear down the walls!

There were several wall options but I think the PPR Neverland Flats 1 and 4 make the best backdrop here. Why? Well, the moonlight seems to shimmer off of the PPR Mermaid Lagoon Waterfalls (which I placed in the room next). I added a few smaller islands fill in the empty spots and then the room was ready for it's final decorating stage!

DURING: This is turning out to be an enchanting evening!

Another spot right between the PPR Mermaid Lagoon Waterfalls at the top center of the room was just the right size to fit a PPR Small Island 2 – which made it a complete waterfall island! To add color and more depth, I used PPR Green Plants scattered around the islands. PPR Water Carpets turn our standard blue floor into an glistening ocean!

Now time to make the camp. I wanted it to reflect the camp pictured on the walls of this room, so I used two Tom Sawyer's Island Tee Pees (one in purple and one in green) and then added a few ALR Logs and Barrel Chairs. Now everyone has a warm and cozy place to sit! And if you're on an island, what's the only way to get there? By boat of course. Or in this case, canoe! A Davy Crockett Canoe docked right off the shore! A perfect fit!

AFTER: "Now where did I put that chocolate and bag of marshmallows?"

Now this is a Twilight Island perfect for hanging out with friends and sharing your favorite VMK memories! It's back to the Kingdom for me – and more makeovers!
