Players were not told about the 2010 Silly Days in advance. Players who entered the game during the event got the following announcement:
Pixie Hollow announced the Silly Days in the "Never News" section on the Pixie Hollow site.
Silly Days

Silly Days are upon us, Fairies! Last year -- a mysterious trunk washed up on Palm Tree Cove. Today -- something else emerged ... it's from the mermaids, which is strange because mermaids usually stay far away from Pixie Hollow. If I were you, I'd beware of silly pranks when flying by the cove today!
Also, be sure to visit the Pixie Postings in the Hollow. I'm starring in the first-ever Silly Scenes comic. After you look at it, fly back here and let me know what you think!

PS - Be sure to stock up on all of the shop collections that are available until April, because new collections are arriving next week! There's also a new collection out today in Summit Style ... those mermaids sure are silly!

Badges
The mermaids left what appeared to be a gift for all fairies in Palm Tree Cove. However, it turns out that they were just playing a silly joke! When a player clicked on the “necklace,” it would turn gray and the player earned the Mermaid Prankster badge. |  |  |
