Best Guest Rooms

CL_Danola demonstrates a clever use of room dividers and door teleporters to give Home Sweet Home - Log Ride a down-home feeling. Be sure to read the photos on the walls before starting the ride.

In Pirates of the VMK Ride, room owner HaoleByDesign invites all Players to "set sail on adventure where the skeleton pirates come to life". This creative recreation of the popular attraction is a hit with everyone who rides it.

CL_KuyaJeff shows what true leadership is about. In his room Community Leader Help Here!! at least one Community Leader is there to help Players when the room is open. Set up classroom-style, help is offered on a one-to-one basis. The room is open to all Players who need help, as well as to all Leaders who want to share their VMK know-how.

Best Game Rooms

redchanel brings us Reds Race Around The World!! where Players are challenged to complete a series of tasks such as swimming the river and climbing the mountain to be the first to get to the blue chair. A prize is awarded to the winner.

In Behind The Door - Prize Game each Player is given two chances to win a prize from room owner Indigobluebird. Behind one of the many door teleporters is a prize. Each Player is given two chance to find the right door.

Players who have been previously recognized for their design talents will receive the VIP award.

VMK Monster Maze

VMK Staff members had so much fun building their River Ride that they are working on a Monster Maze. Make a note on your calendar for January 20-22, and get ready for some eye-popping fun!

Mickey is hiding again

The new Hidden Mickey Quest is here. All of the Hidden Mickeys have moved, so get your camera and start clicking. Collect all 50 for a special reward.

Each week we interview a different member of the VMK Staff. Pay attention - the answers may prove useful in VMK-hosted trivia games!

Name: VMK_Nimue

Do Players have a "nickname" for you? Most of the time I am called "Lady" or "Queen". I don't really know how I got either, LOL, but they are both nice names. I think I got Queen because once I said that I liked the Evil Queen from Snow White.

Three favorite pieces of furniture, and why? My Tiki Tiki Fountain - because it is relaxing, Haunted Mansion Ballroom Candlesticks - because they light up my room, and my Pirate Thrones - because they are comfy.

Favorite type of Guest Room? Hmm, that is a tough one; I would have to say that I like the rooms with a theme. I like coming in to a room where it looks like the owner put a lot of thought into making it special.

Best VMK moment? I think it would have to be the Halloween costume contest. It was so great to see everyone excited, and see all the wonderful creative costumes.

Favorite place to hang out in VMK? I think the Elephant Bathing Pool is really pretty and relaxing, I just always wish I could hop on one of the boats! I like my room a lot too.

If you could wear a different outfit, what would it would be? I like the outfit, I just wish we could a different color every once in awhile. I also wish I could wear the Mickey Sorcerer hat sometimes.

What one safety tip would you like to share with our readers? PLEASE don't give out, or ask for, information about IM or other websites, it just isn't safe.

VMK Monster Maze Information

Get ready to have some monstrous fun, VMK-style. In honor of Monster Month, VMK staff members have pooled their talents and created the VMK Monster Maze. There are several start rooms, each with a different color scheme but all ending in the same place. Be sure to try them all.

When:
Friday January 20, 2:30pm - 8:30pm
Saturday January 21, 8:30am - 7:30pm
Sunday January 22, 8:30am - 7:30pm

Where:
Look for Guest Rooms with the name Monster Maze Start, owned by VMK_Babs.

What to do:
Start in any Monster Maze start room and find your way to the end, where a member of the VMK Host team will be waiting to take your name. One pair of Purple Door Teleporters will be awarded to each Player who successfully completes the Monster Maze. Prizes will be awarded before VMK opens on Monday.

Things to know:

• Some Players like to create rooms with the same name. Be sure you are entering a room with the right name and owner.

• When you reach the end of the Monster Maze, the Host will record your name; prizes will be awarded later. Please exit the room when asked, or the Host will have to boot you in order to make room for others.

• You may enter and complete the Monster Maze as many times as you like. However, you will only receive one prize, regardless of the path you take.

• Community Leaders who wish to assist can be found in maze rooms, giving directions and answering questions.
