Fly with you, Fairies! There's lots of new stuff out in the Hollow this week, and we thought we'd all chip in on a Never News article to fill you in on each of our favorite new additions.
Sweet Pea: I am just wild about the new Wilderness areas in the Hollow! Bubbly Bog is accessible from Dewdrop Vale and the Silver Trees which you can get to from Pumpkin Patch. In order to travel to the Wilderness, you have to be a Member and have earned at least one Talent Skill from your talent mentor. I'm a garden-talent so I went to Rosetta's Garden to get the quest to earn my first Talent Skill. Once you have a Talent Skill, you can go on a Wilderness adventure on your own, or with a group of friends who have a Talent Skill as well. To earn another Talent Skill, you'll have to earn a certain amount of Challenge Points in the wilderness by using your Talent Skill on the glowing obstacles you come across. To find out how many Challenge Points you've earned, check your Talent Skills tab in your Leaf Journal. Oh, I almost forgot, you're going to need cookies to go to the Wilderness.
Marina: Why would you need cookies in the Wilderness? Two words: PIXIE DUST! After you earn your first Talent Skill, you'll also get your Pixie Dust Meter ... revealing the amount of pixie dust you have left. Each day, you get your daily dose of dust, but as you use your pixie dust in the Wilderness you have to refuel by eating pixie dust-filled cookies. This brings us to MY favorite new feature, baking. As I reported last week, Dulcie has opened a cookie-baking kitchen in Neverberry Thicket, where all Fairies can bake for the community, and Members can bake cookies to pack in their pouch and bring those yummy treats into the Wilderness.
Kit: My favorite thing may seem smaller than Wilderness adventures and cookie-baking, but I think it will make everyone VERY happy! Lots of Fairies wrote in asking us for the ability to turn off Friendship Alerts while they are playing games. We listened and added this ability to the "Settings" tab of everyone's Leaf Journal! You now have the option to turn off alerts only when you are playing games, or turn them off altogether, or leave them as they are. Let us know what you think!
