Bess' Confession

My loveliest ideas for articles always come to me while I am sipping tea, and this week was no exception. While Penelope, a Tearoom regular, was pouring me a cup of Bubble and Berry Tea, I suddenly thought--I should interview Bess! I caught up with her today and asked her a few questions.
Marina: Whew! You look a little flush today. How are you doing?
Bess: Color me primrose pink. I'm so embarrassed.
Marina: Whatever for?
Bess: Last week there was a little mishap. I was eating a big stack of pancakes and grabbed the wrong jar. I thought I was dusting them with sugar and it was actually my Maple Powder! I used it all up and then had nothing left for the dye.
Marina: What dye?
Bess: The Maple Brown Dye Mendy had asked me for. She wanted me to dye some Acorn Hats for the Ballroom. I went gathering in Maple Tree Hill for more leaves to make powder, but while I was gone Mendy stopped by my studio and grabbed the basket of hats. She didn't know I wasn't finished!
Marina: Uh oh, this can't be good. What happened next?
Bess: She wasn't at her nook, so I went to the Tearoom, and she wasn't there either. I saw a bunch of disappointed Fairies in gray hats leaving the Ballroom, so I went in there and found she had left them there. I felt so bad! But I did meet a lot of nice, understanding Fairies in there.
Marina: Of course they understand, even the most flitterific Fairies have their bad days. So what else have you been up to lately? I saw you have some new artwork in shops.
Bess: Oh, yes! My crouching bunnies seem to be doing well at Trinket's. Thank goodness for that, those were hard work. It's tough to get a bunny to crouch for two hours if you aren't an animal-talent!
Marina: Maybe it's time to do some still life?
Bess: Yes, exactly. My next piece was inspired by a delightful piece of cherry cake!
Marina: You sound like you are quite busy. I guess I should let you fly. Thanks for chatting with me!
Bess: My pleasure! Oh, perhaps you could mention in the Never News that I helped Tabby choose some new artwork that will be posted in the gallery.
Marina: I certainly will! See ya? round the waterfall, Bess!
