Quick Quest Guide
This Quest has 5 steps.What you will need: 20 Honeycombs, 8 Feathers and 10 Truffles.
Quick Steps
- Go to Silvermist's Grotto and ask her if she has any quests. Pick Learn to Distract.
- Earn a score of 15,000 in Petal Pick-Up and return to Silvermist.
- Gather 20 Honeycombs and give them to Sil.
- Earn a score of 15,000 in Fairy Fireworks and return to Silvermist.
- Gather 8 Feathers and give them to Silvermist.
- Gather 10 Truffles and give them to Silvermist.
- Pick your reward and the quest is over.
In Depth Quest Guide
This is a full walk through for the quest, so if you're confused by any of the quick steps, hopefully these can help you out.
Head over to Silvermist's Grotto in Dewdrop Vale and ask Sil if she has any quests. The quest should pop up immediately and you'll be able to begin. Upon starting the quest, Silvermist will greet you:
Silvermist: "How spooky! I was just thinking that I wanted to talk to you, and here you are! It’s like -- it’s like MAGIC or something!"
"Ready to learn another Talent Skill? I know you’ve been practicing Splash, Move and Charm. It’s time to learn DISTRACT! Let’s start right away!"
Step 1
Accept this Quest?Silvermist: "Great! Lesson one -- dragonflies! Sometimes they’re too curious, and they get in the way when we’re busy with talent work at a pond."
"When we use Distract, they usually fly somewhere else. But sometimes they just won’t leave. So what do we do?"
"We drop cherryblossom petals somewhere far away, and the dragonflies go play with them for hours. They love the smell!"
"Show me how many cherryblossom petals you can catch with Rosetta up in Whispering Winds!"
Fly to Cherryblossom Heights. Earn 15,000 points playing Petal Pick-Up in Whispering Winds. Return to Silvermist's Grotto in Dewdrop Vale when you are done!

Story So Far
Silvermist is teaching you your fourth Talent Skill, Distract. Show that you understand how to distract dragonflies by catching cherryblossom petals in Whispering Winds!
First thing to do is head over to Cherryblossom Heights and play Petal Pick-Up until you reach a score of 15,000 points (whether in one shot or cumulative). When you are finished playing, go back and see Silvermist.

"They’re really friendly, but they’re too curious! Sometimes they get in the way and make a mess."''
Step 2
I have cherryblossom petals for Silvermist!Silvermist: "Splashtacular! These petals are sure to distract dragonflies. But what about weasels? Sometimes you need to distract them, too."
"Yesterday I was trying to send a really important bubble message, and I ended up playing splash with a weasel all afternoon."
"It was fun, but that important message was late. I should have distracted the weasel with a Honeycomb treat."
"Let’s see how many Honeycombs you can find to use as distractions!"
Gather 20 Honeycombs and bring them back to Silvermist's Grotto in Dewdrop Vale.

Story So Far
Silvermist is teaching you your fourth Talent Skill, Distract. Show that you understand how to distract weasels by gathering Honeycombs!
An ingredient collecting task! You need to gather up some Honeycombs, if you don't have 20 already. Once you get the 20 Honeycombs needed, give them to Silvermist.
Step 3
I have Honeycombs for Silvermist!Silvermist: "Ripple-rific! Now let’s talk about dangerous animals like rats and wasps. Sometimes you have to lure them away from where you need to do your talent work."
"When I work in a pond where a dangerous animal lives, I sprinkle fireworks sparkles on the far shore to lure them away from me."
"Now, I know you’re not a light-talent, but I need to make sure you can handle fireworks sparkles, just in case."
"Go get some by helping the Minister of Autumn in Sunset Grove!"
Fly to Acorn Summit. Earn 15,000 points playing Fairy Fireworks in Sunset Grove. Return to Silvermist's Grotto in Dewdrop Vale when you are done!

Story So Far
Silvermist is teaching you your fourth Talent Skill, Distract. Show that you understand how to distract dangerous animals by getting fireworks sparkles from the Minister of Autumn in Sunset Grove!
Next, fly over to Acorn Summit and play Fairy Fireworks until you reach a score of 15,000 points (whether in one shot or cumulative). When you are finished playing, flap back to Silvermist.
Step 4
I helped the Minister of Autumn!Silvermist: "These fireworks sparkles are perfect for luring away most dangerous animals. But some, like water snakes, don’t fall for a lure."
"When we have to, we can use Distract to scare them away. But no pixie WANTS to scare an animal, even a big water snake, right?"
"So here’s a way to do it without causing any harm. When I have to work in a lake with water snakes in it, I keep a few Feathers with me."
"The water snakes think the Feathers are from hawks, and they stay far away! So here’s your task -- fly into the Wilderness and find some Feathers!"
Enter the Wilderness and find 8 Feathers. Return to Silvermist's Grotto in Dewdrop Vale when you are done! Progress: # of 8
Story So Far
Silvermist is teaching you your fourth Talent Skill, Distract. Show that you understand how to scare a dangerous animal without hurting it by finding Feathers in the Wilderness!
This next step is a gathering task. To fulfill the requirement, you will need 8 Feathers. If you do not already have the 8 needed, fly into the Wilderness and Go Scouting. Be sure to have enough cookies made prior to entering the Wilderness! Once you have acquired the necessary amount, head on back to Sil and give them to her.
Step 5
I have Feathers for Silvermist!Silvermist: "Perfect, dewdrop! Now, I don’t want you to think that the only thing water-talents do with Distract is make animals go away."
"We use it to show some animals that it’s safe to come to US! Take Fraidy Fish -- they’re scared of everything. It’s hard to even get near them!"
"But we can use Distract to lure them to us so we can help them. Oh, and it doesn’t hurt to have a few Truffles on hand! They love Truffles!"
"Fly into the Wilderness and find Truffles to lure Fraidy Fish!"
Enter the Wilderness and find 10 Truffles. Return to Silvermist's Grotto in Dewdrop Vale when you are done!

Story So Far
Silvermist is teaching you your fourth Talent Skill, Distract. Show that you understand that Distract has other uses by finding Truffles in the Wilderness!
This step is exactly like the last step you did ~ more gathering. But this time, you will need 10 Truffles. If you don’t already have the 10 needed, fly into the Wilderness and Go Scouting. Be sure to have enough cookies made prior to entering the Wilderness! Once you have acquired the necessary amount, return to Sil and speak to her for the last time.
Your Reward
I found Truffles for the Fraidy Fish!Silvermist: "Great! Now we’ll have some to give the Fraidy Fish the next time they need help!"
"Well, little sprinkle, you’ve done it! You’ve earned your fourth Talent Skill, DISTRACT! Congratulations!"
"Keep practicing all your Talent Skills, and I hope I see you again soon!"
You will now be able to perform the Talent Skill Distract in all wilderness areas of Pixie Hollow. You also unlock the following quest upon completion: Nibble Fish Nuisance, Practice Your Four Skills! and Learn to Grow.
