Winners Announced!
Hello Penguins! There were some great winning igloos announced in the Club Penguin Times on Thursday (and even more winners than I had originally heard there were going to be!) And the winning stories for the Book Contest were added to the Book Room today!!
Be sure to check them out--the book is called Penguin Tales Spring '08. All three of the stories are really creative and fun to read. Congratulations to Sammysays,Chochypop, and Lolliepops10 for winning! There were a lot of submissions for this contest, and a lot of good stories to choose from--hopefully in the future we can have more contests!
Let us know what you think of the stories and the contests we had this week!
In other news: Some of you are wondering where the red construction helmet came from that some penguins are wearing. It is a special thank you gift given to penguins who helped with the Server Test in March on the Club Penguin Improvement Project CPIP). It's only for those who helped with the test. If you've only just heard about CPIP now, go to clubpenguin.com/cpip to find out about it.
Until then...waddle on!

New wallpaper (and more to come)
Hello Penguins!I hope you had a fantastic time at the party over the weekend! I hear there were some amazing igloo parties! The Medieval Party may be finished but things are far from slowing down!
Summer is coming quickly to Club Penguin and we're getting ready for some really exciting releases that I will be sharing in the coming weeks. Until then, I wanted you to check out the community section on the website. A new wallpaper was added this week so we could all remember the Medieval Party. Be sure to check it out and let us know what you think.
The team is working on a few new additions to the community section. I'll let you know more about that soon, and we'd love to hear other things you think should be added to that section.
Until then...Waddle on!

Party Extended! (& Igloo Contest starts)
Hello Penguins! If you haven't already heard, the Medieval Party has been extended until May 25! And I heard the team is adding another free item!
Also, since this is one of the biggest parties ever, we've decided make this one of the biggest contests ever! Not only are we going to increase the amount of winners, but we're also adding to the size of prize! Judges will choose 20 winners instead of 10 and are awarding 25,000 coins to the top 10 winners and 15,000 coins to the rest!
Before I forget--there's a new igloo in the igloo catalog today! Don't miss it!
Some of you have been asking about what kind of igloos the judges will be looking for and so here are some suggestions:
- Make it as creative as possible! (it not about having a lot of stuff in there)
- Make it a Medieval Theme
- Use a variety of furniture. (we love to see new and creative uses for old furniture)
- Have fun!
Just remember, winners will be chosen based on the sort of creative scenes and rooms you can make--not based on the amount of coins you can spend or how expensive your igloo design is.
I hope that helps!
Until then...waddle on!

My favorite room is the new room in the Forest because I love the feeling of adventure. As always, we would love to hear what your favorite room is!
Be sure to look all over Club Penguin because there are a lot of new things that will only be available for this party! Also, please be sure to tell your friends because we hear from a lot of angry penguins when they miss out on a party as big as this one!

May Party Sneak Peek (and Stage update)
Hello Penguins!Every month there's a party in Club Penguin--this month the team has been working really hard on something we've never done before and it's almost finished! I got a glimpse of the upcoming party (it's medieval theme!) and I'm really excited!! I've never seen Club Penguin look so different! I posted something that the team has been working on so you could have a glimpse too.
The party starts next Friday May 16! I hope you can all join in!
In other news: The Stage was updated today with the 12th Fish play. I totally forgot how much fun it was to dress up as a fish!! What is your favorite part? I heard some of you like taking your script and costumes to other places around Club Penguin and performing there. That's a great idea!!!
Some of you may be wondering why the Switchbox 3000 isn't a part of this play--I heard it could be used during the medieval party...
As always, we love to hear what you think!

Treasure Hunt Game (by Screenhog!)
Hi everyone, it's Screenhog!Last week we launched the Treasure Hunt game in the Captain's Quarters of Rockhopper's ship and from what we heard, a lot of you enjoyed it! Rockhopper is gone from Club Penguin now, and that means the game is gone too. But don't worry, you'll be able to play Treasure Hunt again when Rockhopper returns.
Treasure Hunt, as you all probably know, is Club Penguin's first ever cooperative game, where you and a friend can earn coins together. Here's some behind-the-scenes art from the game:

Those are most of the dirt tiles made for the game. Treasure Hunt is a tile-based game, which means that a lot of the art for it was broken up into square pieces that could be used as many times as the game needs them. Each tile was made separately by an artist and then another designer took the tiles and programmed each one to change on the board after each move. Cool stuff.
This is the rough art of the wood fence that surrounds the Treasure Hunt game. After this sketch, an artist put clean black lines on top of it, colored in the wood planks and then it was ready to hold all the dirt tiles!
Oh, and before I forget, thanks for all the wonderful comments about the clothing catalog! We're glad you're having fun with it! There are a lot of secrets in this catalog--have you found them all? There's one that's not an item, but it's still pretty cool!
Until then...waddle on!

Catalog release (& update to Big Screen!)
Hello Penguins!
It's hard to believe the month of April has already passed--there sure was a lot going on in Club Penguin. If you weren't around, don't worry, there's plenty to look forward to coming up in May!!!
To kick it off, a new wig catalog was added today, along with another clothing catalog update. As always, let us know what you like and even what you don't!
In other news: Thanks for all your feedback about 'Big Screen' mode since it launched earlier this week! We heard from a lot of you that you would like the option to view the game in the original mode. If you want to view it in the original mode you can now, just click the arrow icon on the top right navigation bar before you login to the game. Big Screen mode will remain the default mode.
Until then...waddle on!
