In other news: The music party continues to rock and I have an exciting announcement -- A lot of you requested that we keep jammin' and so we're extending the party!! It will be around until August 5. Of course, there are lots of other exciting things happening after that (including the new game level), and I'll keep you posted.

Rock on at the music party!!

Hello Penguins!

We've heard from a lot of you about how much you're enjoying the DJ3K game. Thanks for all your comments. I just wanted to let you know that this game is permanent--it will be around long after the Music Jam party is over.

Speaking of the music party--you've shown tons of creativity and imagination with the sort of concerts and performances you're organizing!! Keep it up!

In other news: The Penguin Band made a special appearance in the Backstage room while they were taking a break from their concert at the Iceberg. If you had a chance to meet the band, let us know what it was like! They'll be back on stage on Tuesday at the Iceberg.

Party!! Music Jam '08

Hello Penguins!

It's finally here! I hope you're all enjoying the party. The team worked really hard on it and had tons of fun making it. Don't forget there are stages set up all over the island - all of them featuring different kinds of music to enjoy. I don't even know which is my favorite yet - they're all so cool!

In other news: The construction is complete and the new game is in The Nightclub - Go make some music with DJ3K!! I think it's so amazing and I totally can't wait to hear what you have to say!!

Sneak Peek: New Game Level!

More game excitement!! The upcoming new game in the Night Club isn't the only game activity going on in Club Penguin! Earlier this summer I mentioned a new level for an existing game... and in a couple weeks a different game will get an update! Here's a sneak peek for you:

Updated "Scroll Through Igloos" Feature!

Hello Penguins!

Yesterday's post about the new music making game has stirred up a lot of excitement! That's awesome. All of your comments are helpful, so keep them coming! The team is still putting the finishing touches on the game so it will be all ready for Music Jam '08, which, as you know, begins Friday. I can't wait to hear what you think once you play the game!

In other news: Since the features were released last week, many of you requested to be able to view the igloos on the map as a list, so the team got to work and added it yesterday! From your map, click on the igloo and a list comes up. Hopefully it will be even easier for you to check out cool igloos! Try it out and let us know what you think.

Screenhog Announces New Game!

Hi Everyone!

Ever since Club Penguin began, there has been a DJ table sitting in the Night Club.

The plan always was to turn the DJ table into something more fun, something more interactive, but we never really got around to it.

Until now.

On Friday, July 25 with the launch of the Music Jam '08 party, we are introducing the new game! It's Club Penguin's first music-making game!

Of course, it's a little hard to show how cool it is from just a screenshot, since you can't actually hear the music. But when it launches with the party, you will.

Party Prep! Music Jam '08... Coming July 25!

Hello Penguins!

There's been so much excitement around the new features so I thought I'd give you something else to look forward to...July's party!

There are going to be a couple of cool surprises too! So be on the lookout!

In other news: Did you see the construction at the Night Club? Something big is happening there - Grab your hard hats and jackhammers if you want to help out. I don't want to give too much away but I can tell you it's related to the party and a new game that will be coming!! Also, to get you in the groove for the musical festivities, new furniture and music were released today. I can't wait to see how you've rocked out your igloos!!

Feature launch a success!!

Hello Penguins!

The new features have definitely stirred up a lot of excitement since they launched successfully yesterday. Your feedback so far has been fantastic and really helpful! I hope you're having fun exploring and trying out the features, and even discovering some that we didn't announce. I heard about a few of them yesterday from some of you!

As soon as the features launched, the team got to work on a few changes based on your comments. The big one they're working on today is with viewing igloos on the map. The team is adding the ability to view igloos you can visit as a list. I'll let you know when it is added!

Thanks for letting us know what you think of all the features--keep the comments coming!

The team is also working on fixing a few bugs. Some of you expressed concern about the green puffle at the Ice Rink and wondered if it's permanent (some of you really liked it too!). Don't worry, the rink will go back to normal soon--so enjoy the green puffle while it's there! There's a bug with the Ice Rink right now, and when it's fixed you'll be able to play hockey again!

I'll post more updates as they come in!

Features Launched!!

Hello Penguins!

Great news!! The features have launched! Thanks to all of you for your help, patience and involvement in this project!

Be sure to let us know what you like and even what you think should be changed.

I'm really excited about Penguin Mail and wanted to remind everyone to check their mailboxes as soon as they have the chance. You can view your mailbox by clicking the envelope on the top left of your screen. And be sure to check it often because now buddies can send you mail even when you're not online which means you'll probably have mail waiting for you!! Plus you never know who you might get a postcard from!

Here's a quick list of features to look for:

• Server selection (this one you'll notice when you're logging into Club Penguin!)
• Penguin Mail (click the envelope on the top left screen to try it out)
• Player Card redesign (check out the sorting function!)
• Igloo background (This one just looks really cool!)

There's a lot of smaller stuff too--can you find some of it? I'll post a more detailed list later this week!

As with anything new like this, there will probably be some bugs and as always, the team will not stop working on it until they're all squashed.

A couple quick notes:

• Your penguin name and password will need to be re-entered when you login for the first time with the new features. If you can't remember your password, just click the Forgot Password link below the login. A new password will be sent to the email you used to create your penguin account.

• You need to have Flash Player 9 installed on your computer in order to play Club Penguin.

Squashing bugs: features coming

Hello Penguins!

I wanted to give you a quick update on the feature launch. The team is working hard and they are squashing a few more bugs they just found. The game will be down for a little longer while they fix the bugs. As soon as the features launch, the game will be up and running again!

Features ready to launch!

Hello Penguins!

The team is ready to launch the new features!! Later today you'll be able to login and try out the new features for yourself! The game will be unavailable for a little bit before the features launch, so you won't be able to login.

But as soon as the game is up and running again, the new features will be available. If when you login again the features aren't there be sure to clear your cache! Check out the Help Section of the website to learn how to clear your cache.

Here are some features you can look for as soon as they launch:

• Server selection (this one you'll notice when you're logging into Club Penguin!)
• Penguin Mail (click the envelope on the top left screen to try it out)
• Player Card redesign (check out the sorting function!)

Club Penguin on the DS!!

Hello penguins!

I am very excited to be the first to let you know about a very special project we've been working on!

Ever since Club Penguin was launched, many of you have been asking and talking about a DS game and we've been listening. Here's a bit of what you can look forward to:

I can't get into too much detail but you might be wondering about the name 'Elite Penguin Force'. In the DS game you take on a special role as part of the Elite Penguin Force and solve mysteries that even Secret Agents don't know about!

That's just the start! You'll also be able to play some of your favorite mini games and earn coins and other rewards that can be uploaded into your Penguin account!

I'll have more info in the coming months. We're hoping to have the game done by this holiday season so you'll only have to wait a few more months!

A New Game! Sneak Peek

Hello Penguins!

A couple weeks ago I promised I would post a few more summer sneak peeks! I was able to get a bit of info on a new project the team is working on for the end of the month. I think you're going to like it--especially if you're into music! It's a new game--but I don't want to give away too much, but I was able to get some concept art from the team. Here it is. Update: Feature launch

Hello Penguins!

Your excitement over the upcoming features is encouraging! It's my goal to keep all of you up to speed on how things are going as the team prepares to launch the new features.

I just received a pretty major update. They found a few new bugs today that are going to take a couple days to fix!

So, while our goal was to launch today, we're now aiming to have everything live early next week.

Thanks for your patience--I know the team appreciates all your support and encouragement as they're working day and night on this project until it's done!

Stage update and news about features

Hello Penguins!

I just heard some great news! The new features we've all been eagerly waiting for are set to launch on Thursday! The team is squashing a few more bugs and if all goes as planned, you'll be able to login and use the new features before the end of the week!

Also, Squidzoid is returning to The Stage this Friday. When it was here in January, a lot of you asked if it would come back.... Since it got such great reviews, it will return this Friday--with a couple changes. I don't want to ruin the surprise, but here's a snapshot of what will be added to the play on Friday.

New Features Coming!!

Hello Penguins!

It was great to hear all your feedback about the new catalog items. I'm happy to hear you're enjoying the new stuff! And speaking of new stuff ... the team has been working hard on some new features and they're almost ready to launch. They're doing a bit more testing and the plan is to launch them later this week.

Rockin' Out: new outfits & new wigs!

Hello Penguins

The new clothing catalog was added to the Gift Shop today and there's lots of new stuff to check out! Do you recognize any of it from the sneak peek earlier in the week?

It's hard to decide what I like best, but the Sunburst Acoustic guitar is definitely at the top of my list. What about you? There's a couple new wigs too--I'm definitely a fan of The Messiness.

As always we love to hear what you think! What's your favorite combination with the new catalogs?

In other news: There's more than new catalogs to check out when you have a chance. There's a new pin to find and Rockhopper is staying for the weekend! If you haven't met him yet, I hope you do. He'll be around until Monday morning. I heard he's having a great time with everyone!

Celebrate with Fireworks!!

Hello Penguins!

Thanks for all your awesome comments about the sneak peek! We love hearing from you!!

Are you enjoying the fireworks? They're in celebration of national holidays around the world!! Grab some of your buddies and check them out. You can see them from the top of the Ski Hill and the Iceberg. They just started yesterday and will be around until the weekend.

In other news: Some of you might know about a special project that's been going on behind the scenes called the Club Penguin Improvement Project (CPIP).
