Today we wanted to give a really loud shout-out to our penguins down under and say thanks for making the Elite Penguin Force DS game #1 in Australia and New Zealand!!
Your excitement about the game has really caught on here - and it has the team talking about the great sense of community in Club Penguin. Even though Australia and New Zealand look far away on a globe, we're all part of one amazing community. The excitement from players all over the world is what makes the Club Penguin community so awesome. So, Australia and New Zealand... Thank you! Without your support, and the enthusiasm of all the Club Penguin players around the globe, special milestones like this wouldn't happen.

Wig Challenge
Hello Penguins!
Talk about hair-raising madness all over the island - There have been so many awesome groups of penguins who are all wacky and wigged out! It was hard to choose. But our favorite group was probably this one:
We loved all the wig talk! If you didn't make it into this shot, we'll be doing more of these mini-challenges. What do you think? Congratulations to everyone who wore wigs! Penguin Style on Friday (& a challenge)!
Hello Penguins! With a brand new Penguin Style catalog coming out on Friday, we thought we'd get you thinking wigs. So we want to give you a challenge: Get as many of your penguin friends as you can into an area -- with wigs! The more wigs, the better! The wackier the wigs, the better! We'll be on the lookout for a cool screenshot to feature on Wednesday's blog. Which wig will you be wearing?
Here's a peek of some hair you might find in Friday's catalog:
The Medieval Party starts on May 8 - and to me, this hair looks like it might be used to befriend dragons and climb castles...

Update: Rockhopper in Walt Disney World!
Hello Penguins!
So many of you told us you're excited about the news that Rockhopper will be visiting Walt Disney World in Florida! Our favorite pirate penguin will be there from April 30 - May 13th.
There are lots of us who won't be able to go, and I don't know about you, but I'd love to hear what it's like to meet him. So we have a request for those of you who can go to Florida during that time to meet Rockhopper: It would be really cool if you could write about it and let us know - and we'll share some of your experiences on the blog.
For those of you who can go, get out your pirate maps and make an "X": Hollywood Studios is the location for Captain Rockhopper's whereabouts while he's in Walt Disney World in Florida.

Medieval Party Sneak Peek!
Hello Penguins!
Where do knights go to get something to eat?
To an "all knight" diner!
A lot of you tell us the Medieval Party is one of your all time favorite parties in Club Penguin so I wanted to give you a bit of a sneak peek (shhhh!) of what you'll see this year. We're bringing back some of the stuff you said was the coolest... and there will be new things, too.
I've heard tales of a dragon in the Mine... and that the Coffee Shop and Pizza Parlor will be fit for royalty (and jesters, too)! For members, there will be a Knight's Quest that we hope you'll think is really fun. The Medieval Party will go from May 8 - 17th, so get ready to costume up and use your imagination all over the island!

Screenhog on Sled Race Upgrades!
Hi everyone, it's Screenhog!
Friday is a big day for one of Club Penguin's oldest games. Sled Racing, which is one of the five original games that has been around since Club Penguin launched, is getting some upgrades. First, starting Friday, you'll be able to buy a toboggan and ride down the hill with it. This traditional sled will be available at the Ski Hill, and if you hold it while you enter the game, you'll get to ride it!
Secondly, Sled Racing is finally getting something that most of the other games have always had... music. Have you ever noticed how much cooler games like Aqua Grabber, Catchin' Waves, and Card-Jitsu are with music in the background? Well, Sled Racing is getting some pretty cool music in it too. Of course, if you're the type of person who likes to have the sound off, the mute button in your Settings is still right there... it's okay, we won't be offended! :)
Now, here's one last thing just for fun. Have you ever wanted to see a slow motion replay of the crash your penguin makes in Sled Racing.
In Other News: Billybob just passed on some news about Rockhopper in Walt Disney World in Florida. As you know, Captain Rockhopper will be there from April 30 - May 13. We just found out that he'll be at Disney's Hollywood Studios while he's there, so get out your pirate maps and mark the spot! Waddle on!

Penguins Getting Paid!
Hello Penguins!
Have you ever thought about taking the quizzes to become a tour guide or PSA (Penguin Secret Agent)? If your penguin is old enough, and you're interested in helping out around the island, you might want to consider the challenge... It's going to be announced in the newspaper later this week that starting May 1st, penguins will get paid every month for doing those jobs!
I don't want to give all the details away just yet (Aunt Arctic, the editor of the Club Penguin Times, will have an update soon), but let me say it'll be worth your while. Let us know... What's the first thing you'd do with extra coins every month? Do you like to spend or do you like to save?

Rockhopper in Walt Disney World!
Hello Penguins!
Whenever Rockhopper lands in Club Penguin, things get exciting. You often let us know that you love hanging out with him! So we're thrilled to share some very, very special news - our own pirate penguin, Captain Rockhopper, will be making an in-person appearance in Walt Disney World in Florida!! He'll arrive at the park on April 30th and be there until May 13th. It's a really special event for the community that's possible because we're part of the Disney family, and we're really excited to hear what you think about it!
During the 2 weeks that Rockhopper's in the Park, if you get the chance to go, we'd love to hear what it's like meeting him in-person! We know not everyone will be able to be there, so we'll be posting some updates straight from the event. And (just for fun) we were wondering... If you did get to see Rockhopper there in person, what would you say to him?

Catalog (& cool igloo)!

I was looking through the furniture in the new Better Igloos catalog (those plants are awesome!) and decided to find a really cool igloo that used some of the new stuff. What do you think? We always love to see how you get creative with the items that you've got around.

Greetings Penguins!
We've got some new furniture coming tomorrow in the Better Igloos catalog. I got a glimpse and I thought I'd ask some questions so you could get a better idea about what's involved in planning furniture fashion around here.
Where do you get your ideas for making furniture and items for igloos?
We love getting ideas from players and it's fun to pay attention to what's going on in the game. If players are saying they want something, we try to make it!
Have you ever considered making couches out of candy?
Yes. I remember there was talk about it around the holidays. So far we haven't but we'll have to wait and see.
What's your fave furniture item of all time?
I really like the Koi Pond because of the animated fish. I have three in my igloo.
We'd love to hear any furniture items you'd love to see designed -- Let us know.

Your comments from Wednesday's blog have decided the background - We've looked carefully at our French, Portuguese, and English comments and the clear winner was Choice #3!
I wasn't going to announce the name of the party yet, but a lot of you guessed... and you were right - it's the Medieval Party! It'll go from May 8 - 17. Thanks for all your feedback. We love to hear from you about what you want to see. And speaking of the Medieval Party... I got a glimpse of some of the things that the team is working on.
Some of you might remember the party from last year and we're working really hard to bring back your favorite parts. I also hear there will be something special for members...

Coins For Change Update by Happy77
Greetings Penguins!
Many of you have said that you think one of the coolest events in Club Penguin is Coins For Change -- when players donate virtual coins in the game to decide where $1 million is donated in the real world. This year, the donations were totally amazing (more than 2.5 million penguins donated more than 3 billion virtual coins!) and we were awed by your spirit of giving.
Your efforts paid off - and we wanted to give you an update. I talked to someone on the team who's an expert in global citizenship:
What's the best part of the Coins For Change campaign? Seeing how much penguins around the globe want to make the world a better place!
When have you been the proudest of the Club Penguin community? When they show how much they care for each other and the world around them by giving to something they believe in that will benefit others they don't even know!
If you could tell the community one thing, what would it be? Every single penguin can make a difference in the world when they come together for a common cause - just look what's been done this past Coins For Change!

New Clothing Today (& Party Update)
Hello Penguins!
There's a new Penguin Style in the Gift Shop today, so check out the new garden-friendly fashions for your penguin! You'll be able to wear your new outdoor things when you and your friends start hunting for eggs next Friday during the annual Easter egg scavenger hunt!!
In Other News: Some of you have asked about keeping the Box Dimension room (the special room you get to through the Portal Box) around after the April Fool's Party. It's a great idea and we wanted to let you know we're going to leave it up for a while so you and your friends can enjoy it even after the party is over. Let us know what you think!
